WWE Drops 'Industry News' Section, 'Taker, SD!, Mysterio, Hardy

For those that have noticed WWE saying that the Undertaker has not been on Smackdown since WrestleMania; that is wrong. He appeared on both the April 17th and April 24th editions of the show.

WWE Smackdown will be preempted on September 11th and 18th in Philadelphia. The September 11th show will air on September 12th at 8PM.

With the Score in Canada expanding NBA Coverage in 2009-2010, the WWE Experience in Canada will be bumped on January 3rd, 24th and 31st of 2010.

There are WWE Breaking Point Commercials still running that feature both Rey Mysterio and Jeff Hardy.

The Chicago Tribune ran the following piece today: WWE teams up with White Sox: A few WWE superstars will be signing autographs at Wednesday's White Sox-Oakland Athletics game, including ECW champion Tommy Dreamer, Dolph Ziggler and Hornswoggle. Dreamer will throw out the first pitch and present Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski with a replica ECW Championship belt. Fans can purchase discounted tickets by going to whitesox.com/wwe and entering "WWE" as the promo code. Yes, they listed Tommy Dreamer as the current ECW Champion.

WWE.com is no longer featuring an "Industry News" tab on its front page. This section was started a year ago in February 2008 using stories from prominent pro wrestling news websites, including yours truly. In the past few months, crediting wrestling news websites became less and less and instead focused on media interviews with WWE talent. The initial idea behind the section was that WWE wanted to make its website the #1 stop for all things wrestling with the feeling being that they could increase traffic by including "insider news" to prevent people from going to other wrestling websites.
