JR Blog: Health Update, Sean Mooney, WWE/Food Network, More

Jim Ross posted a new blog entry at JrsBarBQ.com, here are the highlights?

On His Health: Got positive results Friday on my latest CAT SCAN this time for a lung issue. Now waiting on blood test results which I hope to have next week. I was told that the nerve in my face will regenerate likely one inch per moth so that looks like it might be 3-4 months until I'm facially ready for TV....or not....it could be next week if Mother Nature decides to give this Okie a break.

On WWE In Europe: WWE's huge European tour is gong amazingly well with lots of dollars being generated before some big crowds. London grossed over $1M which is big time for a live event. WWE is re-establishing its brand in Germany with some successful events there. Leipzig did $500K in ticket sales with about 7,000 fans in attendance while Hamburg had over 12,000 fans on hand buying over $900K in tickets!

On His Status As An Announcer: I read where Sean Mooney interviewing with WWE to return "spelled JR's doom" which is laughable. No offense to Sean Mooney who seems to be a nice guy and is friends with Todd Grisham but Mooney nor any one else that interviews for a job will be the difference maker in when I return or what I do when I do return. This is a classic example of a handful of wrestling fans with WAY too much free time on their hands. I wonder if their last names are all "Stone" as in Oliver or they're just simply "stoned?"

On Appearing On The Food Network: I really enjoyed the Food Network presentation of Dinner Impossible Wednesday night. Chef Robert Irvine is a cool dude and many on his crew and staff are HUGE wrestling fans. Miz stole the show as I mentioned here several weeks ago. Santino was great, too. I had to leave early, I had been there 6 hours BTW after reporting for work at 6 a.m., to go back to the hotel and then head to the Staples Center to prep for Summerslam. That was an 18 hour day for yours truly but a fun day to say the least. I would love to do more projects with the Food Network in the future. Hosting BBQ Cook Off's would be a blast or any BBQ oriented shows.
