TNA Charity Show Results From Nashville Inside Here
- Last night in Nashville, TNA, along with Kyle Vanden Bosch put together a charity event that raised over $130,000 for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee. Here are the results from the show:
* Suicide defeated D'Angelo Dinero and Homicide with Pro Bowl Titan CB Courtland Finnegan as special guest enforcer.
* Hernandez defeated Kip James after Vanden Bosch got involved.
* Tara defeated Velvet Sky.
* Abyss defeated Rhino in a Monster's Ball match with Titans Quarterback Vince Young as the special referee. In what was designed to hopefully be a "Sportscenter" moment, Young drilled Rhino with a trash can lid during the bout.
* In their very first in-ring meeting, Bobby Lashley pinned Scott Steiner after Steiner got into it with Vanden Bosch and was clocked, then speared by Lashley.
* Former Titans All-Pro Frank Wycheck and Beer Money Inc defeated TNA Tag Team champs The British Invasion & TNA Global (formerly Legends) champ Eric Young. Wycheck did an angle a few years back with James Storm.
* TNA champ AJ Styles defeated Samoa Joe in a Lumberjack match with 10 Tennessee Titans around the ring.
- Notes: TNA champ AJ Styles presented a supersized check after the main event...During intermission, Don West and the Titans cheerleaders held a charity auction. West gets all the good gigs in this company!....Most of the talent were visiting at the Nashville office earlier in the day....TNA President Dixie Carter noted on her twitter that they were filming holiday shopping promos for www.shoptna.com with Homicide answering phones, Abyss wrapping gifts, etc....While he was in Nashville, Samoa Joe was helping Terry Taylor scout talent via videotapes. He had some hilarious comments about the process at www.twitter.com/samoajoe...Dixie Carter was in attendance at the event...There are already plans to follow up with another event in 2010.
