Possible TLC **SPOILER **, Cena, Sheamus, Rocky, Kurrgan & More
– In a possible spoiler for this Sunday's TLC PPV, the WWE is advertising a WWE Championship match between John Cena and The Big Show for the February 1st Raw in Nashville, TN and the February 15th Raw in Des Moines, Iowa. Obviously, those plans can change and advertised main events seem to rarely happen now anyway.
Also, there is a special presale for the Feb. 1st Raw in Nashville, TN on Friday, December 11 from 10AM until 10PM. The password is RAWWWE. (Thanks to Medalis Dubinovic, Charles, Nate P)
– The trailer for the new Sherlock Holmes movie with Robert Downey, Jr. which opens on December 25th features former WWE superstar Kurrgan (of Truth Commission and Oddities fame). He is shown attacking Robert Downey, Jr., who plays Sherlock Holmes, in the trailer. As we reported in May, Kurrgan had accidentally punched Robert Downey, Jr. in the face during the filming of the movie, causing him to be bloodied and knocked down. (Thanks to Brian Phelps)
– The December 12th Smackdown show in Raleigh, NC is advertising the Undertaker vs. Batista vs. Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship. (Thanks to Travis Smith)
– Finally, a quick note from our store. Rocky: The Undisputed Collection just recently released on Blu-Ray, and I got a chance to check it out last week. The collection features all six rocky films together on Blu-ray for the first time ever!
First, the positives. You get all six Rocky movies, plus an Anthology Bonus Disc. The bonus disc was great, as it featured a TON of goodies for fans of the series, including 'Three Rounds with Legendary Trainer Lou Duva', 'In the Ring: Three-Part Making-Of Documentary', 'Behind the Scenes with John Avildsen', 'Video Commentary with Sylvester Stallone', a tribute to Burgess Meredith (who played Mickey), trailers for all six films, TV spots and much more!
Now, the negatives. The picture quality for the older Rocky movies isn't great. While the picture quality is excellent for Rocky Balboa, the same can't be said for the other films. The quality for those isn't much better than a DVD. Also, there is a great feature on the Bonus disc called The Opponents, which features interviews with old Rocky foes Carl Weathers (Apollo Creed) and Dolph Lundgren (Ivan Drago), but Mr. T and Hulk Hogan are missing. It would have been great to see the headliners of the first WrestleMania interviewed about their roles in Rocky III in that feature as well.
Overall, the positive greatly outweigh the negatives, and the entire collection is available at a bargain price of only $47.99 from Amazon.com! Click here to purchase your copy of the collection today!
