TNA News: Bashir's Release, Styles Cancellation, Lacey Von Erich, More

– As noted late last night here on the website, Sheik Abdul Bashir's (Shawn Daivari) TNA release is legit. For what it's worth, I can confirm that Shawn was telling people backstage last night that he requested his release from the company. TNA management on the other hand said it was their decision to release him and that it had been coming for some time now. I'm working to get more info. on this as I write this. Stay tuned.

– Reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles' scheduled autograph signing this past Saturday at the Wrestling Universe store in Whitestone, New York was postponed due to inclement weather. His appearance has been rescheduled for Saturday, January 9, 2010 from noon to 2:00 p.m. Note from Ryan Clark: Trust me when I tell you that storm was brutal in New York City. We got absolutely no snow here in Albany while 50-100 miles south of here they got 1-2 feet. Did you know they put snowplows on the garbage trucks in NYC. Whatever, you could care less but I thought it was interesting!!
