Ed Chuman Memorial, Fire Bubba The Love Sponge?, Orton, Piper, More

The memorial service for longtime NWA promoter Ed Chuman will be held on Wednesday January 20 at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels (450 W. Lake Street) in Roselle, IL 60172. You can contact the chapel at (630) 889-1700. Chuman passed away Friday after a lengthy illness. The wake will be held Wednesday from 3:00pm ? 9:00pm, and the funeral will be Thursday at 9:30 am.

The January 16th episode of WWE Vintage Collection on The Score in Canada featured one match: the 1993 Royal Rumble.

TV Guide is reporting that Rowdy Roddy Piper will appear on an upcoming episode of CBS's Cold Case. The episode will be wrestling-themed.

Cowboy Bob Orton will be appearing for Tennessee Mountain Wrestling in Knoxville on January 23.

Johnny Kashmere's PWU promotion, which he claimed had a TV deal with Versus, has shut down. Kashmere tweeted the following: "Major News: The BackSeat Boyz (Johnny Kashmere & Trent Acid) have signed full time deals with ICP's JCW federation!! JuggaloWrestling.com" Later he added further information on MySpace: "breaking news, The BackSeat Boyz Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere have signed full time deals with The Insane Clown Posses JCW federation based out of Detroit MD. Also Matt Walsh will be on JCW events as a singles star and former ECW Ring Announcer Stephen DeAngelis will be working the March 20th Philadephia event at The Electric Factory in Philadelphia. Kashmere and Acid decided today to close down their PWU federation in light of this new deal which will have them now concentrating all efforts on their in-ring careers!!
