At the WrestleReunion breakfast Q&A, Bruno Sammartino and Bill Apter announced that the weekend events were being dedicated to the late Georgiann Makropoulos, who passed away last Tuesday. Sammartino spoke glowingly of her, saying he once posed for a photo with her and Buddy Rogers, despite the fact that he couldn't stand Rogers, because Georgiann asked him to. He said he was very touched to find out that Georgiann was laid to rest with the photo.
The convention has been seen as a resounding success, with events drawing between 500 and 700 people. Nobody no-showed and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
Gangrel, Orlando Jordan and a host of independent wrestlers were at the event at various times throughout the weekend.
Johnny Fairplay was followed by a camera crew throughout the day.
Bret Hart was the most popular of the vendor guests, having a line all across the ballroom floor and out into the hallway.
The finish to the Aries-Liger match at the ROH WrestleReunion show was Liger's idea. He wanted to put the champ over and the finishing sequence was his call. ROH was very happy with Liger's work at the show.
ROH are taping their next 6 weeks of TV this coming Friday and Saturday at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia. The first ever ROH TV champion will be crowned at the tapings.
The Young Bucks are now officially finished in ROH, as of Friday's event.
Both Kevin Steen and Chris Hero were impressive with their work this weekend.
Sources say there are no plans for future appearances by Larry Zbyszko.
