The Rock Speaks On WWE Return, Injuries, Superbowl, & More

Dwayne Johnson was a guest on ESPN's First Take this morning, promoting The Tooth Fairy. Johnson sat down with host Jay Crawford, and they immediately joke about the tutu that he had to wear in the film. Johnson says you just have to embrace it.

Johnson talks about hockey, and says if he were an NHL player, he would be a bit of Wayne Gretsky and Ray Bourque. He says he knew he had to have a stunt double, because he could not master skating. But he mastered getting a stunt double.

Due to his Achilles tendon injury from a few years ago, skating was very difficult. He has a great appreciation and respect for hockey now, after spending so much time with hockey players. He also says that they are just as tough as football players, but way crazier.

He always appreciated hockey, and says when he wrestled, he met tons of hockey players, but it was the movie that made him respect them as he does now.

Jay Crawford notices that Johnson is still jacked, and noted that the football players in the studio were discussing how huge he still is.

They then play a clip of Ashley Judd (who was on the show earlier) discussing Johnson looking good in a tutu and saying that he is great in the film.

Crawford wants to learn the eyebrow, and Rock goes old school with the people's eyebrow and the guys in the studio love it. Crawford fails at his try, as Johnson says, "what the hell is that?"

Dwayne Johnson was LIVE in studio on ESPN's Mike and Mike radio show, which also airs on ESPN 2 today.

They discuss The Tooth Fairy, and he says when you sign up for this style of movie, you just do what you have to do to make people laugh and you don't worry about looking silly. Greeny says that he must have a ton of kids as fans, due to this being his third kids movie, and notes that his kids love the movies.

Johnson says that making family movies is important to him, as he is a family man, and he likes telling happy stories. But he admits that he misses action movies, and kicking ass. He then says he will be filming Faster soon with Billy Bob Thorton.

They discuss his college football time, and then the NFL playoffs. He would love to see the Vikings and Colts win. He does mention that the Jets have great momentum and are dangerous right now.

Golic says that the Saints have been largely forgotten, and says that a win for them could be great for their community. Johnson says that is something that the numbers will not show, and could be a big motivational factor. Johnson still loves the defensive part of the game, and says that the Vikings defense has been very good.

When asked if he would trade his life for a career in football, he says no way. He says everything happened for a reason and he is blessed and is happy for what he has.

They discuss The Gameplan and mention how good the scenes were. For The Tooth Fairy he learned that the ice sucked, and he had a double do his major skating for him. Also, when he was skating, he was wired and rigged up. He puts over the hockey guys that worked on the film as great athletes and also guys that helped him a lot.

He then promotes The Tooth Fairy, which opens tomorrow. In closing, Dwayne offers some advice with tattoos, and says to take you time in choosing what you want.
