Bobby Lashley To Fight On April 17th CBS Card
FightLine.com is reporting that Strikeforce officials plan to book Bobby Lashley on the April 17th Strikeforce: Nashville card. No opponent has yet been named, although it has been reported that the promotion has submitted an opponent for Lashley to the Tennessee Athletic Commission and is awaiting approval.
Lashley had told FightLine.com in an interview earlier this week that he had been approached for a bout on the card several weeks ago, but had not heard anything back since.
"I don't know, it could possibly be on the 17th," Lashley told FightLine.com of his next potential bout. "I don't know. There was one call possibly for the 17th, and then I haven't heard anything back. So I'm kind of just on stand-by right now."
Lashley also noted that he had not had any opponents suggested for him at the time.
"The only thing I ever got was a note that said, 'How about April 17th?' and that was it," said Lashley. "I responded back 'Yes' and that was a couple of weeks ago. I haven't heard nothing else, no opponents or anything."
Strikeforce: Nashville will take place on April 17, 2010 from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The card will feature three championship bouts, with the main card being aired live on CBS.
