The Latest Update On Ezekiel Jackson & WWE?, Foley, RAW Tonight

– As reported earlier, Ezekiel Jackson was notably left off last night's WrestleMania card as he did not participate in the battle royal held before the show. In an update on the matter, he was not in Phoenix at all for the Wrestlemania festivities. Additionally, no one seems to know why he wasn't around.

– Emma Stone of Superbad fame and Clark Duke were in attendance at WrestleMania. Duke will be hosting tonight's RAW alongside his Hot Tub Time Machine co-star, Rob Corddry.

In his latest MySpace blog, TNA star Mick Foley says his days in the ring are coming to an end soon:

"Yes, it was my big farewell with Total Extreme Comedy – at least for the time being, as you learn never to say never in this (or any) business. I had quite a few things working against me heading into the show, (it came in the middle of a family vacation, the venue was way too big, I knew I'd have to fly 7 hours in coach, money was a little bit of an issue) but all things considered, I think it came off pretty well, and I think just about everybody involved had a good time.

I know I must have seemed difficult by asking the promoters for my Phoenix money up front, but I absolutely could not take the chance of leaving the vacation, flying all that way, and having something unfortunate happen (show canceled, check gets lost, etc., etc.) So if I made anyone's life more difficult by doing what I needed to do, I apologize for the inconvenience. I am going to go back to doing more of those unbilled, unpaid appearances at NYC and Long Island clubs during the weekdays – just to get used to telling stories and jokes in front of people who are not quite so familiar (or familiar at all) with me. People I trust within the comedy field tell me that's the best way to go, especially if I want to make an impression on decision makers outside of wrestling.

I am very pleased to be the Daily Show's "Senior Ass Kicker", and hope it will turn out to be a semi-regularly recurring role. I do know that the "Ass Kicker" role has led directly to this upcoming "Warren the Gorilla" project on MTV. "Warren" has yet to air, but it is already getting buzz within the entertainment community, including an article in Time magazine.

I will be turning 45 in just a few months, and I can definitely see the end of the wrestling road coming. I'm really not sure when I'll be back in TNA, or even if, or for how long, so I really want to be prepared for life after wrestling. And I feel like creating and taking advantage of opportunities that come up outside of wrestling is the best way to do that. Just another mention of Total Extreme Comedy. I was never really comfortable with the name, as I didn't feel that anything I did on stage as an entertainer was either "total" or "extreme". I also didn't think it helped promote me in the way that "An Evening With Mick Foley" might.. But, with that being said, while it may not have been perfect for me, I don't think the concept of "Total Extreme Comedy" is a bad one at all. As fans in Phoenix can attest to, the ROH lineup of Adam Pierce, Prince Nana, Austin Aries, Steve Corrino and Colt Cabana did a very good job, especially considering that most of them (with the exception of Nana and Colt) were doing stand-up for the first time. The wrestling business is filled with great story tellers, and I hope that the guys who run Total Extreme Comedy (www.totalextremecomedy.com ) will think about continuing to give wrestlers a chance to strut their stuff on the stand-up stage. It may not have been a perfect fit for me, but I thank everyone involved (Joe Schmo for thinking of it, David Marquez for promoting it, Bruce Prichard and Colt Cabana for performing with me) for giving me the chance to try something a little different.
