UFC 112 is now history and a new lightweight champion was crowned in Frankie Edgar, who defeated BJ Penn for the belt.

UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva successfully defended his title against Demain Maia via unanimous decision in a bout that saw Silva shut down in the third round. The crowd turned on Silva, as did the announcers and everyone watching the fight.
