What Happened Before & After RAW, Live Notes

In the opening dark match, Dos Caras Jr. beat Yoshi Tatsu. Dos Caras Jr. cut a promo in Spanish before the match, then told the crowd that they should go to Mexico and learn Spanish to understand it. He got a TON of heat.

They taped two Superstars matches. In the first, Mark Henry beat Primo. Mark Henry seems to have ditched the Kool Aid Man gear for more flattering black attire like he used to wear. The match was otherwise unremarkable. In the second, Gail Kim beat Jillian. This match pleasantly surprised me. Very good story/psychology and some nice spots, especially considering that this is a match for Superstars involving Jillian.

Then, Edge came out and said that Raw hadn't started but he was going to stand in the ring and say what he wanted, and no one could stop him. Evan Bourne comes out and says that he wants to make a name for himself, and that he would start by challenging Edge for his spot in the Fatal Four Way match. They then started having an "impromptu" match. This looks to be when Raw went on the air.

After Raw went off the air, Edge came back to the ring and speared Evan Bourne. Edge then gets a mic and tells Cena that he'll do that to him at Fatal Four Way. Bret Hart's music hits and he walks out. He tells Edge that if he wants a title match so bad, he can have one right now. Edge says he isn't prepared and begins protesting. The bell rings and Cena chases him around. The match is fairly quick, and at the end, Cena gets Edge in the STF and Edge taps out. While Edge is laid out, Cena grabs a mic and tells Evan Bourne to come back out and give Edge another SSP. Bourne does, he and Cena celebrate a bit, then they go to the back. Edge then gets a mic and tells the crowd that if he ever sees them again in this arena, he'll slap the taste out of their mouths.

Definitely appeared that Ashton Kutcher wasn't actually in Austin, since I never saw him walk out.
