A 'Free' TNA PPV-Style Show Set?, Hardcore Justice, Foley

– As noted earlier here on the website, TNA is planning to run a special edition of TNA iMPACT!, which will be taped the night after the Hardcore Justice PPV. Word is that the show could be a three-hour live PPV style TV special.

– Thursday night's edition of TNA iMPACT! scored a 1.06 (1.1) cable rating off hours of 1.06 and 1.07. The show opened on a 0.97 quarter-hour for the AJ Styles-Rob Terry Global title match. Quarter 2 went up to a 1.03 with the Beautiful People segment. Quarters 3 through 5 all scored a 1.11 rating, with Angle vs Hernandez, the promo-off between Nash and Jarrett and Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Hardy. Q6 then dropped to a 1.04 for Morgan vs Anderson and the start of Beer Money vs. Motor City Machine Guns, before bumping back to 1.0 for the end of Beer Money vs Guns and a promo by RVD. The last quarter pulled a 1.09 with Dixie Carter talking and explaining why she invited ECW.

– Word is that in the commercials for the Hardcore Justice PPV, the ECW chants have been edited out. Commercials that have aired on The Fight Network in Canada still contained the chants.

– Lance Storm discusses the creative direction of the TNA/ECW PPV at StormWrestling.com.

– Mick Foley has been attached to an independent film titles, Savage Hot Babe Massacre. The film is a parody/horror/comedy, and is looking for donations at https://www.IndieGoGo.com
