The Latest Update On Chris Hamrick's Suicide Attempt

In an update on Chris Hamrick, I can now report that Chris posted the following messages on his facebook page on Tuesday night:

"BIG announcement tonight. Stay tuned. Its to die for !"

Several hours later, Hamrick posted the following: "Hey world I just took 25 sleeping pills. Goodnight !"

That was obviously a cry for help. I'm told that when friends saw the messages, they summoned an ambulance to Hamrick's residence.

I spoke to one of Chris' friends today and they told me "I have spoken with Jeff Hamrick, Chris is ok, he is dealing with some issues but is safe and where he can get some help. Please pray for Chris. Post your cares and well wishes for Chris on his facebook wall and if you have any questions you can direct them to me at this time. Thank you all for your love and concern."

Furthermore, I can confirm that family and friends are now with Chris in a hospital.

Here is the original report that I posted before finding out about the Facebook messages earlier tonight:

As I noted yesterday here on the website, I received a text message yesterday morning from a talent regarding indy wrestler Chris Hamrick and his well-being. I also noted that Chris recently overdosed and is currently hospitalized.

Fast forward to this morning. I received several more emails and the latest update is that Chris tried to commit suicide by overdosing on sleeping pills. He took a large amount (25+) and was not in good shape as of yesterday. I'm told he's doing better today but is still not out of the woods.

Several friends are under the impression that Chris wanted to have a relationship with a married woman and she didn't want anything to do with it. This led to serious depression and this is where we stand now. It's truly sad.

I wish Chris all the best in getting well. It's been a long time since I've talked to him and I'm hoping for the best. Get well soon, Chris.
