WWE NXT Rating Is In, Bryan Danielson Update, DDP-Oprah, More

– The July 6th edition of WWE NXT scored a 0.83 (0.8) cable rating, with 1,128,000 viewers.

– From Markus of Pwinsider: Just wanted to give you guys an update on the Oprah Winfrey Network search for the next reality star. The voting has ended, and they posted the following statement: "OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) will soon announce the top five online finalists who will join 35 other finalists chosen from the open casting calls or other online entries. Show producers will then select 10 people from this group of 40 to appear on the Your OWN Show reality series. At least one of the top five online finalists will be chosen for a spot on the show. Tune in to see who makes the cut when Your OWN Show premiers on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network in January, 2011. And keep coming back here for further updates!"

– DDP finished 9th in the "Health and Well-being" category, getting a little over 850 thousand votes, so he got close, but not enough to make the cut. Lanny Poffo, on the other hand, waited until the day before the voting ended to post his video, oops!!

– From EVOLVE Wrestling: Pro wrestling's hottest free agent is Bryan Danielson (formerly Daniel Bryan in WWE). He was given the option weeks ago to hand pick his opponent for his EVOLVE debut on July 23rd in Union City, NJ at The Ace Arena. Speculation has run wild as to who Danielson will choose. We have learned that Danielson will announce his decision at www.EVOLVEwrestling.com this Monday at 9pm. There are negotiations now for a simulcast on ESPN. This would also mark the return of the Monday Night War, as the Danielson ESPN special will coincide with the start of Raw. Who will Danielson pick? Only he knows.
