Weekend Recap: New WWE Logo To Debut Tonight (Pics)?, Batista, Mahoney

Here are some news pieces we posted over the weekend for those of you who missed it:

– TNA has removed Balls Mahoney from their roster for Hardcore Justice on August the 8th. The current names confirmed for the event are Axl Rotten, Johnny Swinger, Tommy Dreamer, Mick Foley, Rob Van Dam, Raven, Brother Ray, Brother Devon, Rhino, Al Snow, Simon Diamond and Stevie Richards.

– Former WWE Superstar Batista will announce his first post-WWE project tonight on Monday Night Mayhem. The following synopsis was released: "In a "Summer of Mayhem 2010" exclusive, "The Animal" Batista will step into the MNM squared circle to announce his first post-WWE project. Rumors have been swirling about what the former six-time World Heavyweight Champion will be doing next, including a transition into the world of MMA with Strikeforce. The former WWE superstar separates fact from fiction only on Monday Night Mayhem."

– There's a rumor going around that WWE changed their logo for the RAW opening for tonight and have officially gotten rid of their "scratch" Attitude-era logo. The new logo looks like their pre-Attitude era logo, but without the "F." For the record, the logo looks fake to me but we'll see tonight if it turns out to be legit or not. Let us know your thoughts on the new logo in the "Comments" section below, you can check out images of the rumored new logo below:
