– Cable shows that had more viewers than TNA iMPACT! on Thursday night include The First 48 (1,450,000 viewers), Squad Prison Police (1,430,000 viewers), Futurama (1.790,000 viewers), ESPN College Football (2,510,000 viewers), Project Runway (4,000,000 viewers), On the Road with Austin & Santino (1,640,000 viewers), Jersey Shore (6.540,000 viewers) and American Chopper (2.590,000 viewers).

– OVW starts up a new season of TV on Wednesday, with Jim Cornette scheduled to make his return to the company.

– Linda McMahon's Senate campaign continues to be the talk of the town. The New Republic criticized her lack of a stance on Social Security at https://www.tnr.com/ CTPost.com talked about how most of her money was spent on negative advertising.

– Linda's campaign has begun advertising to Spanish-speaking residents by purchasing one-minute ads on Spanish-speaking radio stations.

– President Barack Obama will be going to Connecticut on September 16 to campaign for Linda McMahon's opposition in Connecticut's U.S. Senate race, Richard Blumenthal. The event will held be at the Marriott Hotel in Stamford, which isn't very far from WWE Headquarters. NRSC spokesperson Brian Walsh had the following to say about President Obama's trip to the Nutmeg State: "It speaks volumes that a candidate who was up by 30 points earlier this year in a deep blue state is now forced to call in the president for reinforcements. Clearly, Dick Blumenthal and national Democrats are seeing the same polls that we are."
