WWE NXT Results (9-28) - Last Show Before First Elimination
WWE Introduction.
We recap last week's game of musical chairs. A.J. wins the challenge. Then we get a replay of the ladies discussing random topics for 60 seconds. Must have been riveting. A.J. wins that challenge also.
Here we go and the show starts with a pyro display. Michael Cole and Josh Matthews welcome us. Matt Stryker introduces the Diva contestants and they take a spot in front of the pros. I wonder how many sweaters Stryker has in his closet. The elimination voting begins tomorrow. Stryker lets us know that the challenge tonight is a wheelbarrow challenge. They must wheel it around the ring in the fastest time to gain a victory. The Diva who has the most victories in competitions will be granted immunity.
Maxine is up first. Before she starts, Stryker says a fan has a great idea to make the wheelbarrow heavier, and it's not Michael Cole's ego. Cue Hornswoggle and the Divas learn that if Hornswoggle falls out the Diva is eliminated. Maxine begins and her time is 14.7 seconds as she crossed the line before dropping Hornswoggle who proceeds to knock her down and he is chastised by Stryker. Naomi is next and her time is 15.2 seconds. Jaime begins next and her time is 14.4 seconds. The crowd is booing and to their credit, Cole and Matthews are making fun of the competition and the show in general. Kaitlyn is next and she takes the lead with a time of 12 seconds. A.J. is next and her time is 17.7 seconds. Aksana is up next and she completes in a time of 13.9 seconds.
Your winner of the first challenge is Kaitlyn. She celebrates on top of Hornswoggle's shoulders and gets a hug from Vickie.
Commercial Break.
We are back and we get a closer look at A.J. She is from New Jersey and we get a few random quotes from her. She talks about her family and their struggles growing up. We see pictures of her as a young girl as WrestleMania and with a WWE belt. She makes a case for herself as the best Diva.
Tonight we will have a Diss the Diva competition and we go to commercial.
We begin with a recap of last night's main event between Orton and Jericho. A Legendary promo leads us into another commercial break.
We return and Cole and Stryker pimp Hell in a Cell. We also learn that NXT will be moving to WWE.com starting next week.
We now get a closer look at Kaitlyn. She explains that she has always loved the stage and loves to entertain. Her style is one of being goofy, funny, and beautiful. Her favorite Diva is Beth Phoenix. She, of course, says she will do whatever it takes to win. Another promo for Diss the Divas.
Commercial Break.
We are back and we will recap Smackdown now. It shows the Kane/Undertaker challenge segment that ended with the surprising return of Paul Bearer.
Another tease for Diss the Divas as we break to pay the bills.
We are back with divas in the ring. They will be allowed to tell why they are the best and the other girls stink.
Aksana starts and says since she spends all her time in the gym, she is prettier and better than the rest. A.J. is up and says she will take the high road. She explains that Divas can be more than pretty; they can play video games and not wear high heels. Kaitlyn starts with a bad impression of Naomi falling down. She states she will win the contest. Jaime is next and rips Aksana's outfit and makes fun of A.J. She then says she will win. Naomi is up and Stryker explains they need to diss the other Divas. Naomi says since she will say nothing mean, just state she is the best wrestler and that Kaitlyn only won the challenge because she messed up. She then gets in Kaitlyn's face. Crowd is dead. Maxine is up. Maxine explains that the perkiness of the other Divas bothers her. Says men don't like nice girls and nice girls cannot get stuff done in a man's world. Her time is up. We go the crowd for a vote as if they even paid attention.
The crowd picks A.J.
"Excuse Me" and Vickie heads to the ring. She says she has tried to work with Kaitlyn to no avail. Kaitlyn says Vickie is bringing her down. She challenges Vickie to a match. Vickie accepts challenge and they will fight next week and slaps Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn pushes her down and a cat fight breaks out until thank the Lord Stryker breaks it up.
Again we are reminded next week is the first elimination and the only place to see it is WWE.com
