TNA House Show Results (10/17) From Hoffman Estates, Ill

Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader Jim Boehm for sending in these results from last night's TNA house show in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

I went to the TNA house show last night in Hoffman Estates, Illinois and it was a blast. I bought ringside seats which got us into the Meet and Greet one hour early. Don West came outside before we were let into the building to sell photo books and explain the process. We got into the building and were told the wrestlers would be out in a few minutes to sign autographs. Just as promised, out came Jay Lethal, Angelina Love, Douglas Williams, Abyss, Eric Young, Matt Morgan, Orlando Jordan, Rhino, Jeremy Borash, and Don West. All signed autographs and took quick photos with the fans. Just before the doors opened to the rest of the audience, we were told that we could buy backstage passes for $50. This fee was good for your group to go backstage and take more photos and meet other wrestlers. I jumped on this and it was well worth it. During the intermission, me and my girlfriend went backstage and got autographs and took pictures with all the previously listed wrestlers as well as Mr. Anderson, Jeff Jarrett, and Mick Foley. Everyone was really down to earth and very accessible.

Also signing, at different times throughout the night, at the mercandise stand were Beer Money, Madison Rayne, and Earl Hebner.

As far as the show goes, it was great. The arena was pretty empty. It holds about 2500 and there were about 500 people there. But those that were there were loud and into the show the whole night. The card was pretty much the same as the previous 3 nights...

Samoa Joe def. Jeff Jarrett in a very quick match. Since Joe won, Jeremy Borash was allowed to give out backstage passes to the loudest fans.

Jay Lethal def. Doug Williams to retain the X-Division title. Jay Lethal was over with the crowd.

Madison Rayne def. Angelina Love. Very good match with a lot of technical wrestling. TNA needs to really promote the knockout division. The crowd was hot for this one. Earl Hebner refereed wearing his "Yes, I Did!" shirt. He was heavilly booed.

Intermission

Matt Morgan def. Rhino. Decent match with the crowd solidly behind Rhino. Tons of ECW chants. Since we were in row 1, we got soaked with a pop and had the guard rail slammed into us. I'll take ringside any day.

Tommy Dreamer def. Abyss in a Monster's Ball match with Mick Foley as the guest referee. Great match with trash cans, baking sheets, chairs, and THUMB TACKS!. Mr. Anderson Came out to hit Abyss with a chair shot and Mick Foley choke slammed him onto the thumb tacks. Huge pops for Mr. Anderson and Mick Foley in this one. I had thumb tacks stuck in my shoe and a little kid got to keep the trash can lid.

After the show you could get into the ring with Mick Foley and take pictures with him for $20.

Biggest Pops
1. Mr. Anderson
2. Samoa Joe
3. Jay Lethal

Biggest Heat
1. Abyss
2. Jeff Jarrett
3. Matt Morgan

More people need to check out TNA live events. They know how to put on a great show and really take care of their fans.
