Major Breaking Update - The McMahon Family Concedes
ORIGINAL: Former WWE CEO Linda McMahon was just joined by Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Shane McMahon, Triple H and Marissa McMahon as she officially conceded her Senate race for the State of Connecticut to Richard Blumenthal.
Linda described the experience as one of the "most unbelievable" years of her life. She smiled and thanked everyone for all their hard work on her campaign. She said: "no matter what, I consider this a victory."
UPDATE: As she was giving her concession speech, Linda McMahon introduced her daughter Stephanie followed by her son-in-law Paul 'Triple H' Levesque. She also introduced other family members and friends including Shane McMahon and wife Marissa, Vince McMahon, Marissa's parents, Linda's mother, other friends, other aunts and uncles of Linda's as well as WWE legal adviser Jerry McDevitt.
According to a WNBC reporter who interviewed various people at the polling places, women were turned off by her WWE ties, including the way WWE treats women. Strangely, WWE SmackDown! tonight is being taped in Bridgeport, CT which is a 30-40 minute drive from from Linda's current location. Vince left the SD! tapings early once the script had been finalized.
