Edge's Travel Issues, SD! News, El Generico Note

– Edge appeared on Canadian radio station Fan 590 discussing his appearance earlier this week at the Conn Smythe Dinner. He noted that he had some travel issues, due to the weather, and also put over guys like Dolph Ziggler, John Morrison, and Sheamus as the new stars of WWE.

– A new Lucha Libre-based documentary being filmed on the West Coast by Americana Media Inc. Footage was shot at Lucha Las Vegas' last event and they will be heading to Tijuana and San Diego to film more. Masked Republic's Ruben Zamora and Kevin Kleinrock are consultants on the project.

– QuebecWrestling.ca sent out the following today? El Generico was named wrestler of the year for a second year in a row; LuFisto was named female wrestler of the year; Super Smash Bros. have been named tag team of the year and El Generico vs Kevin Steen was feud of the year. The Editor's award was given to Jacques Rougeau Sr. (the father of Ray and Jacques) As for the HOF, the new inductees are Frank Valois, Michel Normandin and Ivan Koloff. Valois was a longtime wrestler and promoter. He had success in France and was a co-owner of International Wrestling in the 80's. He was Andre the Giant first manager as he traveled with him for several years. Normandin was the very first french TV commentator in 1953 when wrestling got on the air in Quebec. When wrestling got red hot in Montreal in that period, he was the voice of wrestling there. He was a well known commentator, as he also worked for the Montreal Canadiens. Finally, Koloff started his Russian gimmick in Montreal after Jacques Rougeau Sr advised him to do so. He won several championships in Montreal and of course, he's a former WWWF champion.
