WWE Raw Results (4-4-11) - Rock, Cena, Austin, HHH, Sin Cara Debuts & More!

"Yes sir, we promised you a great main event."

Live in Atlanta Georgia with Good Ol JR at commentary tonight alongside Lawler, and they announce Rock goes face to face with John Cena later tonight. And as seen during H's promo in the ring, Cole's penalty box is assembled at ringside, with caution tape around it apparently for later use.

Triple H comes out first, wearing a pair of shades for once. Maybe he has a shiner. He has a decent pop, but we know the crowd is all waiting for who else is in the building. Only when the music stops as he's in the ring does the cheering get louder. He says it's the most beat up and tired he's ever been in his life. He talks about the fans & his match last night, and the streak. He talks about never being nervous, emotional, or one who doesn't get rattled. But when the gong went off, & Taker came out, he almost hyperventilated. He says he's done that before, but never like that. He says Taker's streak is the most important thing to him and he would destroy himself to keep it intact. He says he hit him harder than any other man, beating him more than any other man, and Taker kept getting up. That they both left everything they had in that ring last night, to which the crowd gives him a large applause. H says apparently it wasn't good enough, and that a lot of people are talking about that match. He says that people call Taker the Phenom, the Dead Man, or Supernatural but he saw a man be carried out on that stretcher. He says that a lot of people are saying that Taker is done, that he won't be back, but he's not buying it. But he wanted to come out here and say one thing, he takes the shades off, looks in the camera, and says "Thank you Dead Man, you gave me the fight of my life. Thank you, here's the thing. I don't believe you won't be back. Not after what I felt last night, not after that magic, you'll be back. And when you're back, I'll be waiting." He drops the mic, poses for the crowd and leaves the ring.

JR says to Lawler that he's heard that Cole is there and he wants to challenge Lawler to a match. JR talks about Rock and Cena and we go to our first commercial break.

Back from break and JR & Lawler are talking about tonight's Raw, last night's Mania when Cole interrupts. He comes out to the stage dressed in his orange gear again, but sporting a nice shiner on his left eye. He brags about beating Lawler last night, and says that the world was talking about him last night. He talks about being as undefeated at Mania, and announces that everyone will refer to him as Mr Wrestlemania, and gets a HUGE heat from the crowd. Lawler grabs a mic and tells Cole to shut his pie hole. He says that Cole didn't beat anyone last night, and that a computer beat him. He says that he made Cole tap out, making him cry like a little girl. To which the crowd starts chanting "You tap out!". Lawler calls him a worthless jackass. Cole says that Lawler can't beat him, because Austin man handled him and Lawler took advantage of it. He challenges Lawler to a rematch. Lawler accepts and takes off his shirt, he was already in his ring gear. Cole comes down the stage, but stops and says that he wasn't talkin about a rematch with him, but with Jack Swagger, who comes out ready to go.

Jerry "The King" Lawler vs Jack Swagger

Swagger and Lawler lock up, with King being pushed to the corner. Swagger lands a few punches to Lawler, who then fights out of the corner, tossing Swagger to the corner and nails a few of his own. Swagger runs at Lawler, which King ducks and punches Swagger one more time. Swagger hits Lawler with a few shoulders to the gut, throws King to the opposite corner. Swagger charges in, but Lawler dodges and punches him again. Lawler backs off as a Jerry chant begins from the crowd. They circle around and as they go to lock up again, Swagger kicks Lawler, picks him up and slams him to the canvas. Swagger bounces off the ropes and tries a double leg drop, but Lawler gets out of the way. He punches Jack again and gets a 2 count. He nails Jack another time, bounces off the ropes but then runs into a clothesline from Swagger, who proceeds to kick Lawler while he's down, literally, followed by a standing elbow drop, & almost like a nod to the legendary Hall of Famer, he steps on his chest as he walks across him. Swagger runs from one corner to the other end, across Lawler and attempts a Swagger Bomb, but misses as King got out of the way. Another series of punches from King followed by a standing dropkick. He goes up to the second rop for the fist drop, but stops as Cole gets on the apron. He runs out of the ring to chase after Cole, who runs into the ring. Lawler gets his hands on him, but Swagger gets back up and puts the ankle lock on him. Lawler taps and this one is over.

Winner: Jack Swagger with the ankle lock.

Postmatch: The ref goes to Justin Roberts, who announces that the ref has reversed the decision, and announces King as the winner. Cole berates JR for laughing at him, goes into his penalty box, brings out a bottle of BBQ sauce, and starts shooting it (yes, shooting it) on JR. Cole starts saying that JR is in his seat. (Really? Then why's your litter box there?) The crowd starts chanting Austin. JR is livid, he gets up and chases after Cole, who runs away?.in the words of JR himself?..like a scalded dog. JR chases Cole to the back and there's no one at the announce table now.

They show a shot of a match for later, Orton & Mysterio vs CM Punk and Rhodes and we got another break.

Back from break, Cole is talking and he shows us a clip of what just happened between him and JR before the break. He's back in his penalty box, still in his gear, and really pushing the annoying button right now. Matthews and Booker are also at ringside, saying nothing as Cole rants.

Randy Orton & Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk & Cody Rhodes

Randy Orton comes out first to a nice pop from the crowd, as Matthews & Booker thank Cole for the stunners they got from Austin last night. Mysterio comes out to a large pop. Rhodes is out next in his bikini briefs & his face mask, followed quickly by CM Punk who doesn't look happy. Orton and his former minion start this thing as they lock up and end in the corner. Cody takes control landing several kicks to his former mentor. Cody throws Orton across the ring, but Orton reverses it. Cody ducks a clothesline as he builds momentum, but runs into Orton with fists of fury. He picks up Rhodes, tags in Mysterio who lands a kick on Cody's arm, but Cody fights back with a few kicks of his own. Rey fights back, lands another kick and tries to take off the face mask. But Cody scurries to the outside. As Rey waits in the ring, we go to another commercial break.

Back from break and Orton has control on Rhodes. He locks Cody, backs him to his corner, Mysterio tags in as Orton slams Cody to the canvas and Mysterio hits a springboard off the top rope and goes for a pin, but gets a 2 count. Rey grabs Cody who fights out of it and tags in Punk. He pulls Rey aside and taunts Orton for a moment. He lands a few punches and tags in Rhodes. They double team him with a double shoulder block. Cody grabs Rey who tries an inside cradle, but gets a 2 count. Rey kicks Rhodes and tags in Orton, who kicks Rhodes but he fights out of it and puts Orton to the opposite corner. Orton fights out, puts Rhodes in the corner to toss him across the ring, but Rhodes reverses it sending Orton to the corner. Randy charges out of it and lands a clothesline followed by a quick 2 count. Rhodes takes a shot to the head and Orton takes a swing at Punk who runs off the apron. This distraction allowed Cody to get up and give Orton a kick to the gut. He extends that baby waxed leg to Ortons neck before getting the 5 count. Punk grabs Orton from behind, pulling him down to the apron. But Orton kicks him to the barricade. Cody comes and nails Randy from behind hitting him in the injured knee. Cody lands several kicks on Orton's knee and tags in Punk who continues the attack on Orton's knee. He picks up Orton for the GTS, but the Viper slithers out of it, tries for the RKO, but Punk pushes him off and hits the knee again. Punk covers and gets a 2 count, who furthers the attack on the knee as we got another commercial break.

Back from break Punk has Orton on the canvas, locked in some sort of leg lock for pressure on his knee. Orton kicks out of it and is back on his feet. Orton nails a body slam and tries to crawl to the corner, but Punk holds him back by the ankle. Orton punches him off and makes the tag to Mysterio who's in a house afire. Off the top rope with a springboard on Punk, followed by a bounce off the rope and a verticle cross body & a 2 count. A couple of kicks to Punk's legs who pushes Mysterio to the ropes. Rey ducks a clothes line, plants Punk down on the canvas, tries a kick to the head, but misses as Punk ducks. He picks up Rey and charges into his corner, nailing Mysterio's head on the turnbuckle. Punk distracts the ref as Cody smothers Rey in the corner. Rey kicks his way out as Orton comes around and takes out Rhodes. Rey kicks out Punk who lands on the ropes for the 619. Rey goes to hit it, but Cody gets up and boots him in the head, leveling him. Punk goes for the pin but gets a long 2 count as Rey kicks out. Cody tags in and kicks Rey in the side. He starts wearing down Rey, beating him down in the corner, before throwing him across the ring into the opposite corner. He drags Rey to his corner and tags in Punk who continues the assualt, before getting another 2 count. Punk picks Rey up high, readying for a power bomb type move, but Rey rolls out tossing Punk to the corner. He tags in Randy, who is on fire, as Punk tags in Rhodes. Orton nails a pair of clotheslines, ducks one from Cody and hits a body slam. Vintage Orton nails a DDT off the second rope, and coils up as Rhodes gets up. But he stops as Punk climbs the turnbuckle. But Punk drops down, and Orton nails Rhodes with a fall away slam. He covers, but Punk comes in from behind breaking up the pin. Punk is up quickly to kick an incoming Mysterio, but falls through the ropes as Rey pulls them down. Orton & Rhodes are back up, who nails Cody making him land in 619 territory. Rey nails it to the crowds delight,, bouncing Cody back into a waiting RKO for the 1-2-3 and this one is finally over! Great match!

Winner: Randy Orton & Rey Mysterio w/619 & an RKO

They remind us of Rock & Cena for later, and show Austin walking backstage who bumps into Triple H. Austin says to H "I don't know if it will ever happen again, but if it does, I'll be there. Hell of a match" They shake hands and we have another commercial break.

Back from break to yet another video of Sin Cara.

Glass breaks fills the arena and Austin makes his way out to a HUGE pop. After his four corner pose, he points to Cole in his penalty box. Austin chants break out as the music stops. Austin gives everyone a hell yeah. He starts talking about Tough Enough. The crowd gives him a pair of "Hell Yeah's" when Austin asks him if they're ready for Tough Enough. He brings out his pupils from the show, who all look stoked to be on Monday Night Raw. Austin asks them how they're doing. He said he's going to put them through their paces. He announces his trainers, Bill DeMott, Booker T, and Trish Stratus. As he rounds off the names of those 3, the crowd does their patented "What?!" chant. He says that by the time he's done with them, there will be one left and it will be his choice and that's the way it is. He gives a mic to them to announce themselves. They each go through a quick intro of themselves. The first girl to talk is by sure Alicia's younger sister. When the pagent winner got the mic, she got some love from the crowd, and Booker T. A few of them were smart enough to name drop and get some pop from the crowds. The last guy to talk looks like he came from Shane McMahon's sweater vest mafia from long ago. The crowd starts chanting "Stun them all!" and as Austin is going on about what it takes to make it, Miz' music hits the arena, and here comes the champ to mark his territory.

Cole is about to wet himself, as is Riley who is laughing for some reason. But Austin mouths a pair of words on camera that could push the PG barrier and upset the FCC. Like he cares. Cole in his cheetoh gear is on top of his desk. Miz stands on the stage, regales about his time on Tough Enough, and reminds us of what happened last night as he shows a clip. Ooooh, I didn't see Miz's head bouncing off the pavement. He talks about having a concussion and continuing to retain the championship. He and 007, I mean Riley come down the ramp to the ring. He announces himself as the new face of the WWE. As he gets into the ring, he tells one of the contestants from Southern Cali with the afro "Move, Buckwheat!"?..LOL?.he even got a loud laugh from the crowd. He shows off the belt to everyone saying it's the closest any of them will get to it. Austin stares him down, until Miz notices and taunts him with the belt. He asks Austin if he has one more run. He says he think's he's tough enough as the crowd chants for one more match. Miz dares him to clear the ring to find out if he has one more match, much to the crowd's delight. Austin tells his pupils to clear the ring, as they do. But Miz nails a cheap shot on Austin, ducking out of the ring as Riley nails Austin from behind. Austin is hammered in the corner by Riley, then taunted until Austin grabs him, turns the tables, and takes him to school, stomping a few mudholes. But a thumb to the eye from Riley avoids a stunner. He lands a few punches, slings Austin off the ropes, but Austin reverses it, goes for a few clotheslines but Riley ducks both of them before running into a tackle from the Rattlesnake. Vintage Austin hammers on the upstart awesome prot?g?. Austin gets up, bounces off the ropes, and nails a standing elbow drop. Austin waits and nails a stunner on Riley as the crowd goes nuts!! Bring on the beer party! He tosses one to each of his students. He toasts each one of them, poses in the ring, gives Cole a beer bath within his litter box, takes his students up the ramp, and we go to another commercial break.

Evan Bourne vs Alberto Del Rio

Back from break and Ricardo Rodriguez is in the ring, not looking to happy. Del Rio comes out, not happy either, and is not in one of his prized autos. Brodus Clay then comes out a moment later. Evan Bourne is already in the ring. Del Rio has control for pretty much most of the match, despite a few spurts of fast offense from Bourne. Bourne misses a splash from the top rope, and Del Rio locks in the arm bar for the submission. No post match here, we get a commercial break.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

Back from break to a montage of clips of the Wrestlemania Weekend festivities that was shown during Mania last night.

Cole is ranting about Lawler again when he is interrupted by Vickie on stage ranting about Snooki. They're both in their ring gear. They challenge Morrison and Trish to a match and begin walking to the ring. The Mania promo took up air time, so we got another break.

John Morrison & Trish Stratus vs Dolph Ziggler & Vickie Guerrero (Mix Tag Gender Match)

Back from break and Morrison is out first, followed by Trish Stratus. Dolph and Morrison start things off. When Morrison takes it to Ziggler, he tags in Vickie who brings in Trish. Vickie tries to flip like Snooki, but can't even pull it off. But she poses anyways, and gets a rollup by Trish for a 2 count. Vickie swings and misses as Trish does her matrix duck. Trish gets another rollup but gets a 1 count this time. Vickie gets in Trish's face and pushes her off, which bring Trish back slapping her around a few times, causing Vickie to do her screaming bit. Thank goodness for mute buttons. When Vickie tries a leg drop and misses, Trish tags in Morrison which brings in Ziggler. Dolph flips Morrison hard and tries for a cover, but Trish makes the save. When Ziggler goes after her, he gets slapped and runs into a hard kick from Morrison. He nails Starship Pain and this one is over!

Winner: John Morrison & Trish Stratus

The only postmatch stuff here is Vickie screaming everyone's ears off, and we go to another break.

US Champion Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan (US Title Match)

Back from the break and Sheamus is coming out sporting red, white, & blue colored ring attire. Bryan is out next to a quiet pop. Bryan locks up Sheamus from behind before being pushed into the corner. But Sheamus tosses Bryan from the corner, and nails him with a double axe handle, followed by a 2 count and a standing clothesline. Sheamus lands a few kicks on Bryan before throwing him into the corner and hammering him within the ring ropes. He plants a knee to Bryan's skull before placing him in a headlock in the middle of the ring. Bryan fights out of it, charges at Sheamus, but runs into an Irish Curse backbreaker from Sheamus. Bryan fights back, nailing a few hard kicks to Sheamus who answers back with a kick of his own. Bryan comes back with a pair of clotheslines to wear down the U.S. champion. He tries to whip Sheamus into the corner, but it gets reversed, and as Sheamus charges in he runs into a boot from Bryan who flies in with a dropkick and gets a 2 count. Bryan tries for the La Belle lock, but Sheamus converts it into a back breaker. He then nails the Brogue Kick and gets the pinfall to win it.

Winner: Sheamus w/The Brogue Kick

Postmatch: Sheamus starts to kicking Bryan in the corner. Sin Cara's music hits and he comes out to the stage. He points at Sheamus and runs to the ring. He vaults over the top rope, barely clearing it. Sheamus goes after him with a clothesline, but Cara ducks who then leaps off the turnbuckle, is caught by Sheamus, and flips the US Champ for a loop and dropkicks him to the outside. Sheamus gets back on the apron, and Cara nails a kick to the head, sending him to the floor. He leaps up catlike to the top turn buckle, and hits a high flying cross body onto Sheamus and poses on the stage before going backstage. Rey Mysterio, you have now officially been replaced!!

Back from break and John Cena's music hits the arena to a very large pop from the crowd, that is also laced with a set of loud boos. He takes to the mic, saying a lot of people are upset about a certain someone's actions last night. He didn't know that the certain someone would've decided the winner of the main event, but if he didn't do it, the final moment would've been a draw. He congratulates Miz for winning & retaining the championship. He says that he is still the most annoying person, and that after his earlier appearance he has earned everyone's respect. And it brings him back to that certain someone. He says its obvious that he still hasn't earned his respect or that he doesn't like him very much. But that he is there tonight, that he was to be the host of Mania and that he got involved in his business. He calls out Rock that moment and waits for the music to hit. "If Ya Smell?.." fires off, and the crowd explodes, and out comes the Great One!

Rock looks fired up and makes his way out to the ring rather quickly. He does his four corner pose for the Universe before grabbing the mic. The two of them circle each other like a couple of fighters waiting to square off. Cena waits patiently for Rock to start up, while the crowd chants "Fruity Pebbles." Finally?.Rock gets the mic and asks Cena what he thought was going to happen. He admits to talking trash about Cena. And that he was wrong about respect, admitting that he respects Cena, getting booed by the crowd. Rock knows that Cena lives & breathes the WWE. And that its because of that drive that Cena has become one of the greatest superstars of all time. But it doesn't change that Rock doesn't like him, calling themselves completely opposite. He does say that there is one thing in common that whatever they do, they do it their best way possible. With the exception of their shopping abiliity. Rock shops at department stores, Cena shops at Baby Gap. Cena fires back "Fashion advice from the Tooth Fairy." Cena says that the time for talk is over. And that if he's the People's champ then listen to the people, who give a Rocky chant. He says that people are standing not because they want them to talk, but because they want a match, one of a kind generation match, for the two of them to face off. Cena says talk about it, or bring it. He takes off the hat and shirt, throws them to the crowd. Cena stands there, ready for the Rock. He answers, saying that Cena has no idea what he just asked for. He says that he will bring it, and that they make history, something never done before, on the grandest stage of them all. He says John Cena against The Rock, Wrestlemania XXVIII from Miami, to which naturally, gets boos from the crowd. Cena gets approval from the crowd. Rock says its not just any match up as he hypes up a match that won't happen for another year. He holds out his hand for Cena to shake it, to which Cena does. Rock's music hits as the two stare each other down.

Corre hits the ring, surrounding Cena & Rock. Gabriel & Barrett take it to Rock in one corner, while Slater and Jackson take it to Cena in the other corner. Gabriel holds Rock as Wade swings, and misses as Rock ducks it, causing Barrett to hit Gabriel instead and Rock takes it back to Barrett. Meanwhile, Zeke runs at Cena who ducks & pulls down the ropes sending the behemouth to the outside. Slater beats on Cena until he's slammed to the canvas by Cena. Rock readys in the corner for Slater to get up, but Cena hits his 5 knuckle shuffle. Rock then signals for the People's elbow. Barret is up, but Rock is ready for him and he nails a spine buster! Here's the pose, the bounce of the ropes, and the most electrifying move in sports entertainment, the People's Elbow. Slater is back up and runs into an AA from Cena. Barret then runs into a Rock Bottom as it turns into a one up each other game between Cena & Rock. The Great One says to Cena "I'll see you at Wrestlemania!" and shakes Cena's hand as this one is finally over! Tough Enough is up next!
