WWE Reportedly Planning Name Change + More

– A meeting was held yesterday where it was agreed that the organization would no longer be referred as World Wrestling Entertainment due to Vince McMahon's decree to eliminate the term "wrestling" from the product. The company will be solely branded as WWE. Multiple sources indicate the meeting ended with this directive. Seriously.

– Attempting to capitalize on American Idol contestant James Durbin's noted wrestling fandom, World Wrestling Entertainment sent him a custom made spinner WWE "Spinner" belt. It was displayed on last night's show with the name "Crazy James" engraved.

– WWE Monday Night RAW on August 15, 2011 will be held at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California.

– Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson announced on his Twitter account that he's giving away tickets to WrestleMania XXVII. He wrote, "ROCK HIDE & TWEET – 2 Mania tix I'll hide here in ATLANTA – I'll tweet clues tomorrow am. You find the tix ..you're going to WRESTLEMANIA!"
