George "The Animal" Steele Talks About Randy Savage Being Inducted Into The HOF Next Year
WWE Hall of Famer George "The Animal" Steele was one of the featured guests on this week's live edition of Monday Night Mayhem. Steele joined The Big Mosh, "The Chairman of the Board" Todd Vincent and special guest co-host Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Dan Murphy to look back at the life, career and legacy of the late "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Here are some interview highlights courtesy of Paterson, MNM's associate producer and official correspondent:
What he will remember the most about "The Macho Man" Randy Savage: "I will always remember Randy as the most intense person I was ever in the ring with. I was never in the ring with anyone quite like Randy Savage. It was over the top with intensity. An intense individual and very intelligent."
His thoughts about Savage possibly getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame posthumously next year: "We are talking about the WWE Hall of Fame and Randy not being honored there. Knowing Randy very well, it would be more important to the WWE that they honored him than it was to Randy. It was not about that kind of thing with Randy, and he will live on with or without the WWE Hall of Fame."
For more from the interview, Steele's thoughts on what his feud with Randy meant to his career personally and professionally, having the chance to work with Miss Elizabeth, why he believes the memories of Savage's match with Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and more, log on to MondayNightMayhem.com.
