Randy Savage News: WWE Posts Retrospective, My Memories, Send Condolences To His Family

– I was truly shocked and saddened to hear about the death of Randy "Macho Man" Savage this morning. When I was first directed to the news on TMZ.com, I waited and hoped that it turned out to be a hoax, like the report of Kimo Leopald passing on that site a couple of years ago. Sadly, that turned out not to be.

Savage was one of the big reasons I first became a wrestling fan back in the late '80s. The first wrestling house show I ever attended was at the Capitol Centre in Washington D.C. back in 1988, and I was hyped beyond belief to see Savage, who was wrestling Hulk Hogan in the main event that night. I remember taking a "Macho Man" poster — even though it was a house show — and cheering at the top of my lungs for Mach, while the kids around me were going for Hulk.

RIP "Macho Man," you truly will be missed. We would like to offer our condolences to Randy's family during this difficult time.

– WWE.com has an article up looking back at the career of Randy Savage, as well as posting the Twitter comments of all WWE stars (current, legends and those in development). You can check it out at this link.

– The Honky Tonk Man, who had a very heated storyline rivalry with Savage from 1987-1988, noted on his Twitter that Lanny Poffo has set up an email so fans can send the family condolence messages. You can go to https://www.lannypoffo.com or email InMemoryOfRandy@gmail.com to send your messages.
