Updated: The Rock's Box Office Numbers Are In

The Rock's latest movie Fast Five grossed $83.6 million to top the box office this weekend. The movie is the biggest opening weekend for the franchise as well as the biggest in April history and in 2011 total as we noted earlier. The film is on track to gross as much as $500 million worldwide.

The film opened in 3,644 theaters, averaging $22,950 per screen. The film has a worldwide gross of $165.0 million and its budget was $125 million.

The Rock is planned to appear in the next film as well, which is currently being written.
