– WWE Hall of Famer Koko B. Ware was recently on R.A.W. RADIO on SIRIUS 158. Here are some highlights:
The origin of his songs on the 'Piledriver' record: "Thank God for Jimmy Hart! He was the Mouth of the South. If Jimmy says something about you, he'll hound everybody about it. He hounded promoters – he hounded Vince McMahon about how great of a singer I was. Vince never heard me sing, but Jimmy said I was a great singer. And that's really how it started."
The idea of bringing Frankie with him to the ring: "It started out as my late-wife's idea. She really helped me get the idea of the 'Bird-man'. As a matter of fact, I was the 'Bird-man' before I got the bird. I had birds on my tights. And one day she went to a zoo or pet store – where they sell pets – and she saw some beautiful birds. And she saw that blue & gold macaw and she said 'this is what you need to help you get on top'. I asked her what she meant by getting 'on top' and she said 'if you wanna be where Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Roddy Piper were on top, you need this'."
