Breaking News: Matt Hardy Rushed To The ER

TMZ.com is reporting that Matt Hardy was rushed to an emergency room in North Carolina this morning after falling down in his home.

Sources told the gossip site that Hardy hadn't been feeling well, but did not provide any details as to what caused him to fall down. The extent of his injuries are currently unknown, although a family member said that Hardy is expected to be released from the hospital tomorrow.

This follows a wild week for the former TNA star. Hardy was arrested for a DWI this past Saturday in North Carolina. State trooper B.J. Smith indicated that Hardy was not drunk, but "appeared to have taken some type of impairing substance" at the time of his crash and subsequent arrest. Hardy submitted to a blood test, results of which are currently pending.

TNA promptly terminated Matt Hardy's contract following the arrest. Matt had already been on suspension, reportedly due to tardiness at live events. He had not appeared for the organization since May 30.

Earlier today, Hardy posted a video spoofing this past weekend's arrest. In addition to that, Hardy also publicly tweeted a phone number, which apparently doesn't belong to him, asking girlfriend Reby Sky to call it because his cell phone had stopped working after he had dropped it in the hot tub. Reby replied back, telling him to remove the number.

Hardy is due to appear in court Sept. 28. Before the accident over the weekend, Hardy was also cited for reckless driving and is scheduled for another October 11th court date.
