Rock Reportedly Set For Another Major Movie

AceShowBiz.com is reporting that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is in talks to star in Goliath, to be directed by Scott Derrickson. Johnson would play Goliath, while Taylor Lautner of the Twilight saga would play David. Here is a synopsis of the flick from the report:

"Goliath" is set in motion when the fierce warrior Goliath is sent to track down a foretold king of the Israelites. David is thrust into an epic chase and adventure fighting for his own life, the lives of his loved ones and eventually the lives of his people. The story climaxes in a battle of literal Biblical proportions between the young man and the giant sent to destroy him.

The report goes on to note that the movie would have a modern vibe in the spirit of films like 300 and The Bourne Identity.
