Ricardo Rodriguez introduces Alberto Del Rio to open the show. A replay is shown of Del Rio attacking Mysterio last week and it's noted that he'll be out for several months. Del Rio takes the mic, but before he can say anything, John Cena's music hits and he heads to the ring. Cena introduces himself to Del Rio to a round of boos from the crowd. He says he's going to take the championship from Del Rio and that he was going to hurt him. Cena says that there is only one person that can toe to toe with him, and it's CM Punk. Cena says he's going to whip Del Rio's ass, and Punk's music hits.
Punk hits the ring as the crows chants "CM Punk." Punk says he's feeling deja vu and that this is a re-run with Cena wanting a title match. Punk noted that he beat Cena twice in "high pressure situations." Punk said that if anyone is getting a title shot, then it's him. Cena and Punk start going back and forth and Del Rio interrupts. Cena calls him "Captain Third Wheel." Del Rio reminds them that he's the champion.
Punk tells Del Rio not to interrupt him and he doesn't fault Del Rio for winning the title, but he has a problem with Del Rio, HHH, Nash and maybe even Jack Tunney trying to screw him. Punk noted that both he and Cena had problems with Triple H in the past, and Punk noted that he insulted Stephanie to her face at SummerSlam. Punk said that Cena would have gotten screwed if he won at SummerSlam, and that someone wants Del Rio to be champ. Del Rio said it was his destiny, and Punk said it was his destiny to cash in his rematch clause for the title. Cena said he would cash his rematch clause in tonight. Punk said it didn't exist. As Cena and Punk went back and forth, Del Rio said it's his time, and he's ignoring both of them. Del Rio said he's going to celebrate, but not here in front of the Canadian fans. He told Punk to stop crying like a little girl. Triple H's music hit.
Triple H asks Del Rio to take the smug look off of his face and tells him that he has a match next. Triple H says that you can't just cash in a rematch clause when you feel like it, and it's up to him to decide when it happens. Triple H announces Punk vs. Cena for tonight, with the winner facing Del Rio at Night of Champions. Time for commercial.
Back from break, and Del Rio is in the ring, and he's facing John Morrison.
Alberto Del Rio vs. John Morrison
Del Rio beat Morrison clean with the cross arm breaker in a good match. After the match, Del Rio applied the arm-breaker on Morrison outside of the ring for several moments before releasing the hold. Kelly Kelly is backstage with Eve, and it's announced that Brie Bella will face Eve after the break.
Eve (w/ Kelly Kelly) vs. Brie Bella (w/ Nikki Bella)
There is a promo insert by Beth Phoenix and Natalya who said that they're not going to reveal what they want. Eve neat Brie clean with a neckbreaker. After the match, Kelly acted heelish and dropped a rocker-dropper on Nikki without ever being provoked. Phoenix and Natalya walk on the ramp and applaud as Kelly and Eve look on from inside the ring.
Kevin Nash is shown backstage walking to the ring.
A replay of Dolph Ziggler stomping on JR's hat last week is shown.
Vickie Guerrero is introduces, and she introduces Jack Swagger. She walks to the ring arm-in-arm with Swagger, who will face Alex Riley.
Jack Swagger vs. Alex Riley
Ziggler comes to ringside during the match and starts arguing with her, saying that she doesn't need any other clients. Ziggler accidentally shoves Guerrero. Jack Swagger comes outside and gets in Ziggler's face. Swagger gets back in the ring, and Ryder rolled him up to pin him clean. Ziggler and Guerrero argued all the way to the back while an agitated Swagger looked on asking where she was going.
Triple H was shown finishing up a call backstage and then started heading to the ring.
Triple H's music hits and he heads to the ring. Triple H said he and Nash spoke earlier and everything's good between them, but invites him to the ring anyway. Nash heads to the ring without any music and embraces HHH in the ring. HHH says that the text wasn't from him and wanted to make sure that everyone knows that. Nash says that he believes HHH. He says he was going to apologize to CM Punk, but is not going to after what Punk said to him. HHH told Nash that he doesn't work here. Nash says exactly, and says that he would have "killed" Punk last week and the security was for Punk. HHH told him to beat up Punk on his own time, and asks Nash to leave. CM Punk's music hits.
Punk says that he wants to clear this up and asks who sent the text, "Big Lazy" with the giant can of Just for Men, Triple H or Stephanie. Punk said that if he crossed the line, well, that's what he does. He says Nash should know about it since he's a "line-stepper too." A CM Punk chant broke out. Punk said he's done talking, and said that Nash got off easy last week and this week he's kicking his ass. Triple H tries to break it up, and Punk pushes him back and asks HHH what his problem with him is and asks who's really calling the shots, HHH, Nash or his beady-headed wife. Triple H said that he promised the board he wouldn't get involved, and that if Punk crosses the line with him, he'll leave him lying. He said that he wouldn't want Triple H to get his suit wrinkled, which he keeps in Stpehanie's purse along with his cell phone and his balls. Nash attacked Punk and landed several shots and left the ring with HHH. Punk sat on the mat and smiled.
Kingston and Bourne vs. Otunga and Mcgillicutty for the tag titles is next.
Backstage HHH is telling Nash that he can't put his hands on a Superstar and that he needs to leave. Nash tells HHH that he's changed and takes off.
Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne vs. David Otunga and Michael Mcgillicutty
Lawler spent the match burying Otunga and Mcgillicutty and talking about how they were boring. Kingston nailed Otunga with a kick and Bourne followed with Air Bourne to pin Otunga and win the WWE tag team championships! The crowd actually popped big for this.
Sheamus vs. Mark Henry is advertised for this Friday's SmackDown.
Josh Mattthews interviews Kofi and Bourne backstage. Titus O'Neil and Zack Ryder pour champagne on the new champs.
John Lauranitis approaches HHH backstage and tells The Game that Nash has been in a car accident and is in a local hospital. HHH asks Lauranitis if he can cover for him and leaves to go to the hospital.
Back from break, and Santino Marella's music hits. As he's heading to the ring, he's attacked from behind by R-Truth and The Miz. The take the assault inside the ring and beat the hell out of him, including hitting their finishers. Miz and Truth take separate mics. Truth asks the fans if they saw what happened with Little Jimmy and it's going to happen every time. He said that he's been saying that there's been a conspiracy between HHH, Stephanie, Nash, Punk and Cena are all in on it, and they sit around a conspiracy table and conspire. He said that he used to main event PPVs, but now it's no longer about he or Miz.
Miz agrees with Truth and says that there is a conspiracy in WWE. Miz noted that he beat Cena in the main event of WrestleMania 27, but then HHH takes over and he has to pick a fight with Jarod from Subway just to do something. Miz said that he's sick of guys like Santino, who hasn't won a match in 5 years, and that he and Truth are going to take any and all opportunities that come their way. Truth said that sooner or later some people are gonna get got. I do like the dynamic with these two. Truth started singing new lyrics to his music, yelling "You Suck" to the crowd instead of "What's Up" and sang his song with new lyrics. Good segment until the song.
Punk and Cena are shown walking to the ring as we head to commercial.
John Lauranitis and Alberto Del Rio are sitting at ringside. Ross, Cole and Lawler recap the Nash/hospital angle.
CM Punk vs. John Cena
Cena threw his shirt in the crowd, and someone in the crowd threw it back at him ala ECW One Night Stand years ago. For some reason, Lawler buried Punk throughout the match, saying that Punk was "not that good" and the Del Rio would rather face Punk since he's easier to beat. Unless Lawler sent the text, it's strange that he would bury the guy that they're trying to push, so there must be a reason for it.
Crowd was hot for this match, as the fans at ringside are going nuts. Really good match. Both men kicked out of each other's finishers. At the end of the match, Punk called for the GTS. As he went for it, Nash came to the ramp and yelled on the mic that it wasn't over between them. Nash headed to the ring, which distracted Punk allowing Cena to nail him with the AA and get the win.
Del Rio immediately attacked Cena after the match. Del Rio got on top of Cena and stared landing a flurry of punches before being separated by Lauranitis and the referee. Del Rio went back on the attack, and was separated again. Del Rio went on the attack again, and took the assault out of the ring. Del Rio threw Cena into the ringside barrier and then walked away as the show went off the air.
