The SD! opening airs and we’re off!
John Cena’s music and he heads to the ring. He takes a mic and welcomes everyone to Super Smackdown. Cena makes a dig at the XFL being worse than the Shockmaster, and calls out Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio’s music hits, but Ricardo Rodriguez comes out and enters the ring. He says he has a message for Cena, and that is that he will have to wait until Night of Champions for Del Rio. Rodriguez keeps yelling “Alberto Del Rio” until Cena tells him to “Shut up.” Cena says he figured Del Rio wouldn’t show up, but that he got him a gift, and proceeded to punch Rodriguez out of the ring. Wade Barrett’s music hits and he comes to the stage.
Barrett jokes about how Cena just beat up a fat ring announcer and that Cena’s trying to hijack the show. Barrett said that Del Rio might be running scared, but he requested the match with Cena and he plans to make Cena feel just as pathetic as he did when he was Barrett’s personal slave. Cena told Barrett to not take his kindness for weakness and that he owes his some payback, and he’s going to find out that payback’s “a b—h.” Barrett heads to the ring as we go to our first commercial.

Triple H is shown walking backstage with Teddy Long.
Teddy Long hits the ring and introduces Triple H. Triple H says the board allowed him to wrestle for one night, and he invited CM Punk to the ring to make their match official. Punk’s music hits and he heads to the ring.
Punk takes the mic and says that this is unnecessary since Triple H is the COO and he made the match, so he wanted to know why they are here. Triple H said that he made the match because Punk disrespected him and his family. Punk tried to interrupt and HHH told him to shut up. HHH says that despite everything Punk has done, Triple H tried to work with him but it wasn’t good enough and he had to push. Triple H takes responsibility for paying for Punk’s theme music and pushing Punk’s shirt through. Triple H said he’s trying to be patient, but Punk insulted him as a man and now he deals with him as a man.
Punk says he wants the Cerebral Assassin and not the COO, since the new Triple H sucks. He said that Vince couldn’t separate personal and business issues, and Triple H is the same. He said he didn’t hate WWE, but loved WWE. He wants change, and he wants things to be better for everyone. Punk says he wants to be the catalyst and Triple H cuts him off, and says he’s sick of hearing this and that a lot of fans like WWE. He says it can be better, and that’s what his job is.
After more back and forth, Punk says he wants change and Triple H says he’s going to get it. Triple H says that Vince would have taken a beating from Punk for business, but Triple H is going to kick his skinny fat a– at Night of Champions. Nash’s music hits.
Nash hits the ring and Punk starts punching Nash. Triple H throws Punk to the ground and starts punching and kicking him. HHH then pushed Nash, which prompted Nash to shove Triple H to the ground. Nash left as Triple H looked on.
