All The Details On Matt Hardy's Latest Arrest: Prior Arrests, Mug Shot, Police Report & More
As everyone knows by now, Matt Hardy was arrested again, this time by airport police this past Monday, September 12th at Raleigh-Durham International Airport after attempting to pick up real-life girlfriend Reby Sky.
Airport Authority Officer Smith-Wynter pulled Hardy over after police received a call late Monday afternoon about a possible drunk driver who almost "hit two drivers three separate times." When the officer spotted Hardy, his car swerved into the curb and back onto the road.
The officer alleged that Hardy "had slow and slurred speech, sleepy eyes and a very lackadaisical demeanor." He then took the walk-the-line test, but lost his balance and failed to "stay on the line" after two steps.
Hardy was given a blood test and passed a breathalyzer test on the scene, blowing a 0.00, and had no alcohol in his system at the time of his arrest. Police then called in North Carolina State Trooper Hans Ellefson, who is a Drug Recognition Officer, to further examine Hardy.
Ellefson said he believed Hardy was under the influence of "Central Nervous System depressants," however is waiting for the blood test to come back. Hardy was then arrested on the spot.
"For the first time in my life, I was framed.. 0, 0, and O.," Hardy wrote on his Twitter on Monday. "I'm truly appalled. This will not go down without a fight! Looks like I've got a bull's eye on my head."
Hardy's girlfriend Reby Sky posted several interesting tweets over the past week:
On Monday, she wrote: "Cameron bound (@ Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) w/ 177 others)"
A few hours later (likely after landing in Raleigh, NC), she wrote: "F*ck this."
She then followed up on Tuesday with the following: "Haven't been kissed in almost a week. New low. If your heart was as big as the bruises we give each other we'd be the perfect couple ..."
This arrest comes less than a month after Hardy was arrested in North Carolina on August 20th for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Hardy was arrested and charged with DWI by a state highway patrol trooper after his 2009 Corvette ran off a road and hit a tree. Hardy was by himself and did not suffer any injuries. The trooper stated that he saw signs of impairment, which led to the arrest. No other contraband was found in the vehicle. Hardy's mugshot from that arrest is at TMZ at this link.
"I took a breathalyzer immediately on the spot and it read clean, zero, nothing," Hardy wrote on his Youtube channel after the arrest. "Think about peeps! There's more to this story than meets the eye. MATTHEW"
State trooper B.J. Smith indicated that Hardy was not drunk, but "appeared to have taken some type of impairing substance" at the time of his crash and subsequent arrest.
"Oh. My. God. By bad luck is NEVER stopping apparently," Hardy proclaimed on his Twitter.
TNA immediately released Hardy after the arrest, who was already under suspension from the company due to tardiness at live events. He had not appeared for the organization since May 30.
"When the side windows glass smashed into my face, arms, & neck, some of the blood that did felt almost angelic. I went from being afraid to die to feeling like I was almost being reborn with some sort of an ABSOLUTE PURE LIFE-FORCE," wrote Hardy on his Twitter. "It was the most amazing thing I've every experience, I felt like I'd just received the blood of an angel flowing inside me-I know this sounds crazy! Due to these, I only have urges to help people. And miraculously, all my vices are gone."
Hardy went on to spoof the accident in a video on his YouTube, which you can view at this link.
The Fayetteville Observer reported this past Thursday that on the day prior to the August 20th arrest, he was involved in a car crash on U.S. 1 in Southern Pines. A North Carolina officer found that Hardy had run his 2006 Cadillac off the road and crashed into a guard rail near South Bennett Street. Hardy claimed to the officer that a car ran him off the road, causing him to crash.
Days after the August 20th arrest, Hardy was rushed to an emergency room after falling down in his home.
On August 30th, Hardy uploaded what appeared to be an apparent suicide video note on his Youtube account, which read: "Goodbye world... My time here is almost complete... I only have a few hours and minutes... I loved you all... Regardless of how you felt about me... I'll miss you all... September 23, 1974-August 31,2011." He also wrote "Goodbye" on his Twitter and posted a link to the video.
Moore County sheriff's deputies received 25 to 30 calls asking for police to check on Hardy within an hour of the video being posted. Capt. Henry Marion with the sheriff's office said that Hardy was fine when he and another deputy showed up at his home.
"I shook his hand," Marion said, "and he told me everything is fine."
Brother Jeff Hardy's wife, Beth Britt, was upset with Hardy's latest attempt "to work the Internet" as police showed up to her North Carolina residence regarding the video.
"When the cops show up to our house at 11 pm, for a 'suicide call' the f–king joke is over @MATTHARDYBRAND. Stop trying to work the Internet," Britt wrote on her Twitter account. "I guess you got what you wanted @MATTHARDYBRAND. Everyone is talking about you, again. But it's not in a good way."
Hardy went on to explain that the video "represented the end of the 'New' Matt 'MATTHEW' Hardy, as I've come full circle back to the 'Old' Matt Hardy."
Hardy now has several court dates set.
The first is on September 28th for his August 20 DWI arrest that led to his release from TNA. That arrest has charges of Driving While Impaired and Exceeding Safe Speed.
Next, he has a court date on October 11th from a different incident, where he was charged with Reckless Driving – Wanton Disregard.
Finally, for the latest arrest, he appears in court on November 30th to face charges of driving while impaired.
"Sometimes you have to fracture every iota of your being, shatter your completely.. To rebuild yourself into something even greater," Hardy wrote on his Twitter after news became public of his latest arrest.
TMZ obtained the most recent mug shot of Matt , which you can check out at this link. You can read a complete transcript of Hardy's police report from an earlier article on this site by clicking here.
