Cops Trying To Make An Example Out Of Kurt Angle?
TMZ reports that TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle believes that he is being framed in connection with his arrest early Sunday morning on charges of driving under the influence.
According to the report, Angle believes that law enforcement officials are trying to make an example out of him. Cops are staying silent, simply stating that the case will be tried in court.
As noted earlier, his attorney stated that Angle passed a breathalyzer test and will be entering a plea of not guilty.
"We understand that Kurt Angle was pulled over last night for a traffic infraction and/or offense," said Angle's attorney Frank Smith. "During the stop, he was asked to submit to a breathalyzer test and passed. We understand Kurt will be entering a plea of not guilty in response to any infractions and/or offenses."
Angle was arrested yesterday in Virginia and taken to Warren County Jail. He posted $2,000 bond and was released at 3:31 a.m.
