Steve Austin Talks His Early Years, CM Punk's Frustrations & More
The Sun has an interview with Steve Austin talking about his early days in the sport, which Austin called some of the "most fun I ever had in my entire life" even though he was broke.
"I absolutely loved it, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world," said Austin.
The talk turned to CM Punk and Austin addressed some of Punk's problems with WWE.
"I just think the guy had a gutful of the WWE," Austin said. "He was working with top guys, but he wasn't being treated like a top guy. It was time for him to get a new contract, and luckily they were able to come to terms, and CM is happy, Vince McMahon is happy, and the company is happy.
"He had his back up against the wall," he continued. "I just think he had an axe to grind, and it was for a reason. I felt his frustrations; I've been there in similar shoes, and there's a close parallel there."
