Smashing Pumpkins Frontman Billy Corgan Talks Resistance Pro's Debut

Resistance Pro, a partnership between Smashing Pumpkins singer/songwriter Billy Corgan and brothers Jacques and Gabriel Baron, held their inaugural wrestling event, Black Friday, last Friday in Chicago. Harry Smith, The Sheik, El Generico, the Briscoe Brothers, Cheerleader Melissa and Serenity were just some of the names in the ring Friday night at Excalibur, a Chicago nightclub.

"I am on tour with the Smashing Pumpkins in Europe but was able to watch the entire show via Skype in Prague," says Corgan. "Black Friday was great. I want to thank all the fans who came out to watch. I'll see you in January at the next Resistance Pro event."

The second Resistance Pro event is set for Friday, January 13, 2012 at Excalibur in Chicago.
