– UFC President Dana White stated at the UFC 141 post-fight press conference that Brock Lesnar was retiring under contract when asked if he would be able to go to "the other company."

"When he retires, he retires under contract," said White. "I've had my moments with Brock Lesnar, but I've had a great relationship with him. I don't know... we'll figure it out, no big deal. Never had a situation with a guy where, you know, we haven't done the right thing."

– Chris Jericho tweeted about Brock Lesnar's retirement, hinting that he's behind the "1/2/12" promos, writing, "So obvious the 1/2-02 mystery man is Brock Lesnar. That fight was a joke #ufcisfixed @speewee #memphis"
