Reason World Championship Changed Hands At TLC

According to a report on ProWrestling.net, Mark Henry suffered an injury during his match with John Cena on RAW last Monday night, which was the reason for the title change at tonight's TLC PPV.

The injury was apparently "a pull in the groin area," and tests conducted during the week revealed that the injury was more serious than originally thought.

According to the report, the creative team wanted Henry to be given an easier schedule for a few weeks to allow the injury to heal, however Vince McMahon made the call for the title change.

As we reported earlier, Brian James (a/k/a Road Dogg), who now works as a producer/agent for WWE, stated Thursday morning on Twitter that Henry was being taken to the hospital. However, James later wrote that Henry was getting his ankle scoped.
