NEW YORK ? December 12, 2011 ? Fueled by its critically acclaimed popular programming, Syfy is on pace to make 2011 its most watched prime year ever, averaging 1.33 million total viewers ? up 10% compared to 2010.
In addition to climbing 5% in Adults 18-49 (569,000) and +1% in Adults 25-54 (633,000), Syfy will also set a new viewership record among Men total viewers (756,000).
Continuing its growth among younger viewers, Syfy surged +14% in Adults18-34 (219,000), +21% in Men 18-34 (126,000) and +7% in Women 18-34 (93,000). The cable entertainment brands of NBCUniversal ? including USA, Syfy, Bravo, Oxygen, E!, Style, mun2 and Sprout ? deliver the #1 audience of affluent and educated viewers in all of television.
Syfy's powerhouse programming in 2011 ranged from the scripted series Warehouse 13, Alphas, Eureka, Being Human and Haven to reality series such as Face Off, Ghost Hunters, Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files, Destination Truth, Hollywood Treasure, Haunted Collector and Paranormal Witness, along with the original miniseries Neverland.
Online, Syfy.com will post its best year ever in uniques (+7%) and page views (+19%), as will DVICE (+35% in uniques, +87% in page views) and Blastr (+1% in uniques, +16% in page views), all comparisons based on January-November monthly averages.

To continue the momentum, Syfy will kick off 2012 with an array of returning and new series including Being Human (January 16), Face Off (January 11), Ghost Hunters (January 11), Merlin (January 6) and the premiere of Lost Girl (January 16).

USA once again reigns as cable's #1 network in 2011, extending its unprecedented streak to six straight years in prime for ad-supported cable networks among P25-54 (1.30 million), P18-49 (1.21 million), and total viewers (3.17 million). USA delivered more P25-54 (+19% over #2 ESPN), P18-49 (+11% over #2 ESPN), total viewers (+20% over Disney Channel), and households (2.40 million, +26% over #2 Disney Channel) in primetime than any other cable network as well as earning the year's highest household coverage rating in basic cable prime (2.40, +0.49 over #2 Disney Channel). USA was the only network to deliver over 3 million total viewers or 2 million households this year and the only entertainment network to deliver over 1 million in P18-49.
USA won the year's total day crown again this year among P25-54 (596,000, +5% over #2 TNT) and P18-49 (573,000, +3% over #2 ESPN.)
USA was the home to the strongest portfolio of scripted originals, showcasing the power of the brand with six out of top ten scripted hours among total viewers.
