WWE House Show Results From Hartford, CT (12/30) - Lawler Vs. Swagger, Kane Vs. Cena

The arena was completely full and the atmosphere was incredible for most matches. Most gear worn was Cena, Punk, or Ryder

Howard Finkel was in the ring to announce the national anthem.

Miz comes out once the anthem finished and cut a promo egging the crowd on and is interrupted by R-Truth coming from the crowd. He was really over with the crowd and got a huge pop once he did his What's Up Chant.

John Laurinaitis came out with David Otunga tagging along to interrupt Truth. After asking Truth to leave Laurinaitis sets up Otunga vs. Truth. Truth won in under a minute after hitting his finisher.

Beth Phoenix defeated Eve to retain Diva title. Bella twins are introduced as guest referee and time keeper for the diva title match. Beth Phoenix comes out to a decent amount of boos and taunts a fan about her title. Eve is the challenger and came out to a nice amount of applause. After a long match by divas standards (almost ten minutes) Beth Phoenix won with Glamslam. After the match the Bellas ganged up on Eve and Kelly came to make the save to a great pop from the crowd.

Mick Foley is introduced as the evening's guest host. He starts to cut a promo about his Hartford memories when Jack Swagger interrupts and demands a match for tonight.

Jerry Lawler defeated Jack Swagger. Jerry wins with a rollup pin and Mick Foley breaks out Mr. Socko on Jack Swagger after he attacked Jerry after the match.

Alex Riley, Mason Ryan, and Leo Kruger defeated Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks, and JTG
Crowd was really behind Mason Ryan and Alex Riley. Everyone else got no real reaction. Leo Kruger looked great in the ring but got no love from the crowd. Mason Ryan hit his finisher on Curt Hawkins for the win.

Santino Marella defeated Michael Mcgillicutty. Mcgillicutty came out to absolute silence. Crowd loved Santino and his silly antics. Santino hit the cobra after a decent match that included an injury spot that had the ref flash the x but Santino seemed OK. After the match Dolph Ziggler attacked Santino from behind.

Zack Ryder defeated Dolph Ziggler to retain the U.S. title. Vickie Guerrero came out after Ziggler's attack to the most heat of the night. Ryder came out to an awesome reaction from the crowd while he was sporting one of the foam fists. The crowd was really into it for the entire back and forth match. Ryder fed off of the crowd the whole time with several woo woo woo chants. Ziggler got the pin but the match was restarted and Ryder hit the Rough Ryder for the win.

John Cena defeated Kane by DQ after Kane used a chair. Cena came out to the loudest pop of the night. Kane got all cheers from the crowd and was not considered a heel by most. Great match with the crowd going nuts over Kane choking Cena in the middle of the 5 knuckle shuffle. Kane chokeslammed Cena after the bell then came back to take an AA from Cena to the delight of the crowd.

CM Punk defeated The Miz in a steel cage match to retain WWE Championship. Miz came out to great heat again and CM Punk was over as usual. Crowd on feet for entire match filled with close two count after close two count. Both had many close exits from the cage which the crowd loved. Punk kicked out of Skull Crushing Finale then hit the GTS a few minutes later for the win to send the crowd home happy. Punk tightrope walked the top rope to celebrate.
