HBK Responds To 50 Cent, Mayweather's Jail Sentence, MMA Champ Suspended For Steroids
– As noted earlier this week, in the song "Up! Remix" featuring 50 Cent, Young Jeezy and T.I., 50 Cent references WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels by rapping, "I be on that elite sh*t, that HBK Heartbreak Kid freak sh*t." Michaels responded to the verse on his Twitter, writing, "Thank you very much to @50cent for the shout out, if it is indeed for me? does that give this country boy official street cred?"
– The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that WrestleMania XXIV headliner Floyd Mayweather Jr., who was scheduled to begin serving jail time earlier this week, has had his jail term delayed. Mayweather's has until June 1 to serve his sentence after his lawyer argued that the sentence would interfere with his training camp for his May 5th bout. The boxing superstar was sentenced to 90-days as a part of plea agreement in a 2010 domestic violence case involving an attack on his ex-girlfriend while two of their children watched.
– According to FightLine.com, dominant Strikeforce women's featherweight champion Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos tested positive for anabolic steroids following her most recent title defense. She tested positive for the anabolic steroid stanazolol, or Winstrol, the day before she dominated and defeated Hiroko Yamanaka via TKO in just 16 seconds of the first round.
