WWE NXT Results: 'Til Death Do Us Part?

Before the opening video, we get a well-made video recap of the love triangle between Johnny Curtis, Derrick Bateman, and Maxine. This lasts a couple of minutes, then we go to the opening video. Josh Matthews welcomes us to this historic 100th episode of NXT, and lets us know that the wedding between Maxine and Curtis will be happening tonight. We then go to the ring with Lillian Garcia, who welcomes back the "original voice of NXT," Michael Cole. Cole comes out, and I don't think there's music, but the fans are booing so loudly there may have been. As he's walking down the ramp, he keeps saying he didn't want to be here either. Cole's best heel work definitely was on NXT, it was much better than his current work. He takes a seat by Josh and snubs him quickly. He says he's only here because he lost a bet in Vegas last night. Titus O'Neil comes out next for the first match of the afternoon to very little reaction. Cole with a similar reaction to me, "This guy's still here?" Darren Young is out next to little reaction. Cole actually puts over Darren.

No-Disqualification Match: Titus O'Neil vs. Darren Young

We start with Darren avoiding Titus, and getting the better of him before rolling out of the ring. He rolls back in, ducks a clothesline, but gets caught with a Big Boot from Titus. Titus then gets a two count. Titus with a nice Backbreaker for a two count. Titus reverses and Irish Whip and throws Young over the top rope. Sick landing here. Cole's commentary is actually quite funny, though it's just because he's burying Titus. Titus barks before he goes out of the ring, we replay the fall, which wasn't as good as I thought. Young picks Titus ups and slams him onto the ring apron, but he gets caught into a Powerslam by Titus on the hard floor. Titus throws him into the barricade and barks some more. He rolls Young into the ring, but Young rolls out onto the apron. They're both on the apron now and Young goes for a Neckbreaker and hits it. Great move on the apron. We go to a commercial.

Back from the break, Young is in control in the ring, grounding Titus with strikes, but Titus starts fighting back, only to be caught with a Clothesline from Young for a two count. Young then picks up Titus and drops him with a Back Suplex. Titus then locks on a chinlock, but Titus fights back and works his way out, only to be slammed into the corner. Young then picks up Titus and hits the Gut Check, but Titus kicks out of the man's finisher. Young goes for it again, but Titus fights out and hits the Clash of the Titus for the three count. For this match to be so hyped (for NXT's standards) it was short.

Winner: Titus O'Neil

Titus celebrates in the ring, trying to get a reaction out of the crowd. He gets a microphone and "wooos." He says now that he's done with Darren Young, he wants to thank the fans. He says, "I want to thank you for, for, for, absolutely nothing!" The crowd boos Titus this time because they're actually supposed to, though I'm almost liking the guy now. He says oh hell yes, it's true, for 46 weeks he's competed in these silly challenges that didn't mean anything. And on top of all this, Horswoggle was his pro. He says he taunt Hornswoggle how to speak, and what did he do? He left him for Smackdown. He says it's okay because he's the star of this show, and every show WWE has to offer. Cole: "You've never been on another show." He says he doesn't have to worry about the fans being dead weight anymore, and a "You suck" chant starts. He says to get your popcorn ready because Titus is about to make it a win. Titus then leaves the ring to boos. Wow, Cole is murdering Titus here, "You'd think after 46 weeks you'd learn to cut a promo, what was that?"

We go backstage to Johnny Curtis putting on a t-shirt with a tuxedo on it, and admiring himself in the mirror. Cole puts him over, and Matthews puts over Percy Watson vs. Heath Slater, which is next.

Back from the break, Heath Slater comes out next to a few boos. The One Man Sothern Rockband walks down the ramp as Cole reads a fictitious Tweet from his mother. "Showtime" Percy Watson is out next, and he's fired up, though the crowd isn't.

Heath Slater vs. Percy Watson

Slater takes control with a Side Headlock, but gets caught with a Dropkick. Watson hits a kick to the gut, then a leg drop to Slater. Showtime then takes control of the arm, then hits a Northern Lights Suplex for a two count. Slater is able to take control with some strikes now, and he draws some heat from the crowd. Slater hangman's him along the bottom rope and Snapmares him over into a headlock. Matthews is struggling to make sense of this show to Cole. Watson fights out, but gets caught with a Neckbreaker-like move for a two count. Slater argues with the referee, then misses a Stinger Splash. Watson fires up and hit's a Running Shoulder Block, followed by the best dropkick in WWE at the moment. Watson then hit's the Showtime Splash for a two count. Slater catches him with a boot to the face, but Watson is able to hit s nice Fireman's Carry-turned into a Flapjack, which he calls the Percycution for the three count.

Winner: Percy Watson

Watson celebrates on the turnbuckle as we replay some of the highlights in the match. We go backstage again, this time to Maxine, who is in a robe. She turns and runs into the Usos. She yells at them, saying she had every bead in this dress custom made form Italy, and taks about how much money it cost. One of the Usos (They're wearing shirts, so I can't see which one has the tatoo) sneezes on it, which infuriates Maxine. Cole laughs as we go to commercial.

We come back to Maxine in her dress talking to some woman. Curtis consoles her, but she keeps freaking out. That is the skimpiest wedding dress I've ever seen. Kaitlyn walks by as Maxine leaves. Curtis says he hasn't really had a bachelor's party, so if Kaitlyn wants to kill a couple of minutes and "get weird," it would be fine with him. Kaitlyn whispers so silently, I couldn't understand a word she said, but I assume she said no.

Yoshi Tatsu and Trent Barreta come out next for a tag team match. Cole even manages to attempt to bury Lillian that failed. Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins are out next.

Trent Barreta and Yoshi Tatsu vs. Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks

Barreta and Hawkins start the match out, and lock up in the middle of the ring. Hawkins takes control and slams him into his corner. He tags in Reks, and they miss tandem clotheslines. Yoshi then takes out Reks as Barreta sends Hawkins flying outside the ring. Yoshi covers Reks for a two count, apparently he's the legal man now. Tatsu takes control with kicks, but Reks gets him with a thumb to the eye, and hits some vicious strikes. Reks locks Yoshi's legs as Hawkisn attacks him. Hawkins tags in and locks on a facelock. Cole says more people talk about him than the superstars, does he not realize that's a bad thing? Tatsu fights out with some kicks, but gets caught with a Powerslam for a two count. Cole takes credit for Daniel Bryan's success. Reks gets tagged in and hits a kick to the gut. Reks taunts in the ring, then locks in a front headlock, but Yoshi fights out, only to be hit with Powerslam once again for a two count. Hawkins gets the tag and they double team Yoshi for a bit. Hawkins quickly tags in Reks as Cole continues to bury talent that aren't even on this show. Reks locks in a Camel Clutch, and Yoshi continues to fight out, and this time reverses a Powerslam, and hits a Spinning Wheel Kick. Barreta gets the hot tag and he takes out Hawkins on the apron, then Reks in the ring with some strikes, including a huge Superkick. Barreta with a corner splash, followed by a running, jumping knee for a two count. Barreta ends up on the apron and he takes out Reks, then goes up top and hits a Corscrew Moonsault. He gets a two count after Hawkins breaks it up. The referee stops Yoshi from interfering and Hawkins is able to hit Barreta with his cane. Reks then picks him up and hit's the Burning Hammer for the three count, and their first win in forever.

Winners: Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks

They celebrate in the ring, as Cole's horrid commentary continues. I'm thinking about muting this. Matthews plugs Maxine and Curtis's wedding once more. We go to commercial.

We go to the Raw Rebound after Matthews thanks Switchfoot for the Royal Rumble theme song, "Dark Horses." The Rebound showcases the end of the main event, with Foley coming out, and finishing the match with Mr. Socko. It then shows Laurinaitis reversing the decision and Punk exploding on him afterwards with some of his best mic work to date. They then show Laurinaitis's best mic work to date, following it up with a shot to Foley. That was such an amazing segment, and a very well-made video to go along with it.

Back to NXT, Cole with some non-heel commentary about Raw. We need more of that. We see the ring being prepared for the wedding. The wedding is next, but first, more commercials.

Back from the break, the ring is set up, I guess. To quote Cole, "It looks like toilet paper hanging off a tree on Halloween." I agree. An Elvis song plays, and none other than Matt Striker comes out dresses as the King of Rock and Roll. Cole makes some distasteful jokes about how Elvis died, as Striker jives into the ring. In the ring, Striker sings a little, and panders to the crowd. He says it only took five minutes for him to get his license, and thanks Carrot Top for that. Johnny Curtis comes out first, wearing a leather jacket, and being accompanied by some guy who looks like he was just hanging around with Evan Bourne doing what Evan does in his free-time. Cole asks for his gong, and I kinda' wish it was there too. Striker with some more horrible mic work as Maxine comes out to "Here Comes the Bride." If Maxine's dress was any shorter, she'd have trouble coverin her belly-button. Cole says this is a White-trash wedding. Maxine asks who the guy with Curtis is, and Curtis says that it's Chad, but the guys corrects him and says it's Chris. Please tell me this fool and I don't share the same name. Curtis says he's "legit," and Maxine says to just go through with this. Striker in his horrible Elvis voice sings out the marital pledge as Cole boos on commentary. He says until you get bored instead of "til death do us part." He asks if anyone objects and the crowd goes nuts. Striker then talks in his regular voice and sounds shocked that no one objects. Back to the Elvis voice, he continues, but Derrick Bateman comes out and says this must end. Cole's commentary is pretty funny here because he's burying this show more than I am. Bateman says he knows Maxine dumped him because of that email he sent to Teddy Long saying Maxine belonged here, but he didn't send it, Curtis did. They're both screaming at the top of their lungs as Curtis says Bateman's embarrassing himself. Bateman says he has concrete evidence and tells the titantron to roll it. We see a security camera, and Curtis walks into the Bateman's locker room, opens his locker, which is fulled with pictures of Maxine, and uses Bateman's iPad to send an email. He says if Maxine's done with him, then he's fine. She asks if it's true, and Curtis says he's on his way to the top, and Maxine's coming with him. He wants to make her feel good, but Maxine slaps him instead. Curtis then tackles Bateman and they go at it. Cole's going nuts, but sarcastically. He compares this to Mayweather-Pacquiao, and Maxine grabs Curtis allowing Bateman to slam him down. Bateman takes off his shirt halfway, but still has a tie on, and says to Maxine that he always wanted her on top. Maxine tells him to wait, as he was leaving. The crowd is actually cheering Bateman on. Maxine slaps him, then kisses him as the crowd chants. Classical music plays as they make out. Closing words from Cole before the show goes off air: "This is horrible."
