Edge Discusses His Acting Career, Retirement & More

Former WWE superstar and 2012 inductee into WWE's Hall of Fame, Edge, was recently interviewed by 99.9 KISS. During the interview, Edge discussed living in Asheville, North Carolina, his acting career and how he planned to help out a children's hospital he recently visited. Here are some of the highlights:

On living in Asheville, North Carolina: "I'm kickin' around Asheville. Yeah. Actually, I've had a place here for close to 2 and a half years now. [One of the hosts states that Edge is sneaky for not letting them know this before.) I am very sneaky. I'm like a salamander. I don't know if [salamanders) are sneaky at all, but it doesn't sounded like something good to say. ... I love it up here. It made retiring a whole lot easier, knowing that I was coming back here. As opposed to Florida, where I used to live.

"It's just mountains. It's not flat. It's not 110 (degrees) all the time, you know? You get seasons. Just so much outdoor things to do. And really, I have yet to meet someone unfriendly here."

On his acting career: "It's one of those deals where what I've done has kind of fallen in my lap. And I mean, thankfully, and it's been fun. But, I don't call myself an actor by any stretch of the imagination. I just figured I'd do some of these things.

"I did this show called Haven last summer that's on Syfy. We're going to shoot that again up in Nova Scotia. So, I won't be in Asheville much this summer but it's a fun experience. It's not quite as fun as WWE but if I can't do that, I might as well do something else that's fun."

On taking a tour of the Missions Children's Hospital: "Yeah, I went by there and was given the tour and was shown the facilities — phenomenal. The fact that's tucked away up there, right off Hendersonville Road... You wouldn't even know. It's just a really, really nice setting for the kids. It really — it's tucked back there in the forest — and you can tell everyone really cares. It was a really good experience."
