Former WWE Personality Suspended For Asian Slur, The Rock Speaks To ESPN, JJ Dillon

– Max Bretos, who appeared as a backstage announcer for WWE in 2007, has been suspended for 30 days by ESPN after using the phrase "Chink in the armor" to reference New York Knicks player Jeremy Lin's poor play while anchoring an ESPNEWS broadcast.

"We again apologize," ESPN said in a statement, "especially to Mr. Lin. His accomplishments are a source of great pride to the Asian-American community, including the Asian-American employees at ESPN."

Bretos apologized on Twitter, writing, "I have learned from this [and] will make every effort to avoid something similar happening again."
