Mick Foley Discusses WrestleMania, Retirement & More

Mick Foley was recently interviewed by Sky Sports and he and the hosts touched upon a number of topics. Some of the topics included; WrestleMania, his relationship with the wrestling business, his toughest opponents, his comedy career and more. Here are some of the highlights:

On his role at this years WrestleMania: "I don't know yet whether I have a match. The Undertaker and Triple H are inside a Hell In A Cell and The Undertaker's undefeated streak is on the line and I'm pretty well known for having lost to both those guys in dramatic fashion. Those are two of my best known matches with those devastating defeats. So, maybe I'll be the referee in that match. I'm just thinking out loud. So, I'll play some role."

On getting out of the wrestling business: "I feel like Don Corleone. Just when I think I'm out, they drag me back in. I only officially retired once. That was in 2000, that was a long time ago and now you learn that you never say never. The truth is that I came back from my first WWE match in four years at the Royal Rumble and I didn't do that much but what I did do was effective and people really enjoyed the inner-play with me and a couple of the other superstars. So, maybe I don't have to do some of the extreme things I did in order to have fun in WWE."

On which superstar he would like to have one more match with at WrestleMania: "Man, that's tough. There are so many great young superstars and if I really widdled myself into shape — not that I'm not in outstanding shape right now — maybe someone like a Dolph Ziggler, a Miz, a Cody Rhodes. Wade Barrett, a U.K. guy — who unfortunately just had a pretty bad elbow injury last week so I'm wishing him the best — if one of these guys started getting on my face a little bit, it'd give me some incentive to get in the gym instead of the comedy clubs and that'd be exciting."
