David Otunga Discusses His Relationship With Jennifer Hudson

WWE superstar David Otunga was on The Wendy Williams Show recently and discussed a number of topics. During the interview, Otunga discussed the ups and downs of his relationship with his fiance, R&B singer Jennifer Hudson.

On how he and Jennifer Hudson first met: "She first noticed me on [I Love New York]. ... I started doing a lot of interviews after the show wrapped and made friends with a couple of people. Next thing you know, [a friend of mine] says, 'Hey, you should meet my friend Jennifer.' So, I was like, I don't know. We kind of start talking and every conversation, she was asking me about the show. So, I was like, 'Is she just a fan or...'"

On how he helped Jennifer through the murders of her mother, brother and nephew in 2008 and why she feels that he saved her life: "That was a hard time and back then, I was just started wrestling and I went to Tampa. We had just gotten engaged so I asked her to come down there and be with me and she did and that's where we were when the tragedy happened. So, it's a blessing in disguise. [If she didn't come down to Tampa], that's where she would have been. She'd of been in Chicago with her mother. That's where she always was if I wasn't there.

On when he and Jennifer Hudson will finally get married: "The wedding is coming. But, like you said, there's a trial we need to get through first, some things we need to sort out first in terms of that but it's coming. It is coming."
