Layla Competes In First Match In Nearly A Year, Sunny Remembers Chris Candido, More

– Layla made her return to in-ring competition at a non-televised Florida Championship Wrestling event on Thursday night. Alongside babyface Audrey Marie, they defeated Paige and Sofia Cortez.

The final WWE Women's Champion has been sidelined since May due to tears of both her Anterior cruciate and Medial collateral ligaments, which required surgery. She underwent rehabilitation in the meantime.

– WWE Hall of Famer Sunny posted a message on Facebook remembering the late Chris Candido, who would have turned 40 years old on Wednesday. She wrote of her former boyfriend with the following image, "I miss you honey...xoxo." After several people posted photos and messages remembering Candido on her Facebook wall, she wrote, "ok, enough sadness about CC....lets move on to happier things...Heaven isn't too far away...closer to it every day...."

Candido died on April 28, 2005 due to a blood clot, a complication from leg surgery three days earlier.
