Off-Air RAW Report: More On Cena's Promo, Rock's Reaction, More
Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader Jesse Collings for sending in this report from last night's RAW in Boston, MA:
- A really large, energetic crowd tonight in Boston. They sold the place out and the crowd was into it the whole time.
- Despite it being Cena's hometown, he got about the usual reaction he gets in every other city. The crowd really loved the Rock mentioning Boston a bunch of times though.
- After the main event and the camera's cut off, Cena went into a personal promo talking about how the last time he was in Boston, after the show he received a text message from his brother. The text said that his brother had a tumor in an inoperable part of his brain. Cena then said that through chemotherapy and treatment the tumor is shrinking. It was a very genuine moment and they even cut to a picture of Cena's father, who was ringside and was in tears. Cena then said that he was going to the Kowloon (local Chinese restaurant) and going to get wasted.
- Night of Champions was announced to be taking place Sunday, September 16th, and the presale code is WWENOC. Those in attendance could also purchase tickets for Night of Champions at the TD Garden's box office after the show.
