CM Punk Discusses Brock Lesnar's Return, Being Proven Wrong About The Rock & More

Recently, C.M. Punk was interviewed by FOX 5 News in Washington D.C. During the discussion, Punk discussed winning the WWE championship, Brock Lesnar's return and much more. Here are some of the highlights:

On winning the WWE championship and what it means to him: "It's kind of daunting. To me, it's everything I ever wanted to do. But when you actually get there, number one, it's harder to stay on top. But this [title] is my life. This is my wife. I'm married to it."

On his style of promos and where it comes from: "I've just always been the guy that says what other people won't. Without fear of reprisal or the consequences or repercussions that come with it. The microphone's always been my weapon. ... Absolutely, it does (have power). More so than punching people or kicking people."

On being handed the torch by wrestling traditionalists: "I love it. Love it. That's the most important thing to me. I think that if you don't respect the past, not only are you doomed to make the same mistakes and stuff like that but — I'm rooted firmly in the old school. Bret Hart, Randy Savage — you've got to teach the new kids where this comes from. Where I come from. And I definitely come from that old school."

On the returns of The Rock and Brock Lesnar: "The Rock has proved me wrong and him coming back is great. So, I'm going to hold out judgment and see what Brock does. Brock, unfortunately, has that cloud hanging over his head of cracking under the pressure of being WWE champion and splitting before. So, we'll just have to wait and see how he does."

He also talked about wrestling Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania and answered a few fan questions. You can check out the entire video below.
