ESPN Reporter Says WrestleMania 28 Drew 1.9 Million Buys, SmackDown Star Hurt
– ESPN reporter Gus Ramsey stated on his Twitter account earlier today that WrestleMania XXVIII garnered 1.9 million pay-per-view buys, which is highly unlikely.
"Rock and Brock each sign 1 year deals. WM28 did 1.9M buys. WWE was targeting 1.5M... haven't seen anything in writing. so maybe the # is wrong, or I misheard it, but pretty sure that was the # + WWE very happy" he wrote.
WWE was actually targeting 1 million buys for the event as of last weekend.
– Drew McIntyre indicated on Twitter that he injured his shoulder during the Team Teddy vs. Team Johnny match at WrestleMania XXVIII.
"Yes the shoulder was hurt, was I stopping? HELL NO!! I am a WRESTLER and it was Wrestlemania. You'd have to kill me then I'd still get up," he wrote.
McIntyre did not compete at Tuesday's SmackDown taping in Orlando, Florida.
