King Mo To Start With TNA In The Summer, To Appear On Spike TV Tonight With Dixie Carter

As noted earlier, TNA, Spike TV and Bellator Fighting Championships officially announced the signing of former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Muhammad "King Mo" Lawal earlier this afternoon. The deal was jointly announced earlier this afternoon by Spike TV President Kevin Kay, Bellator Fighting Championships CEO Bjorn Rebney and TNA President Dixie Carter.

Lawal will compete for both TNA and Bellator, joining TNA this summer and then resuming his MMA career next year when Bellator moves to Spike TV from its current television home, MTV2.

"This deal is a dream come true for me," said Lawal. "Bjorn and Dixie have given me the opportunity to engage in my two great loves, mixed martial arts and professional wrestling, at the same time. And, to have it all on Spike TV is really Buttercream icing on a big ole cake ? not that whipped cream stuff either!"

Lawal will join Carter and Rebney on Spike TV's MMA talk show, MMA Uncensored Live, tonight following Impact Wrestling.
